Ted Cruz Brings Values Voter Summit Attendees to their Feet Repeatedly

GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)came into the Values Voter Summit with jokes targeting Democrat Hillary Clinton. Cruz asked the crowd, “How many of ya’ll have watched the Republican debates?” He then said it was fantastic that there was such an array of leaders stepping up on the GOP side. “What a contrast, with the Democrats!”

The crowd laughed, but Cruz wasn’t done.

“I’m pretty sure the first Democratic debate is going to consist of Hillary Clinton and the Chipotle clerk,” Cruz added, pointing out Democrats keep moving their debates: “Move it to 2017!”

Cruz said America might see its first Democratic presidential debate “held at Leavenworth.” The audience applauded and cheered.

“If they can project a rainbow on the White House, maybe they can put bars on windows,” Cruz continued to joke, taking a jab at Clinton. “They had planned to have an earlier Democratic debate; the problem was the debate invitation was emailed to Hillary.”

“Yesterday, Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) was Speaker of the House,” Cruz continued. “Ya’ll come to town and somehow that changes.”

“My only request is, can you come more often?”

Cruz went on to get serious and explained that the country is in crisis. “We know that this is not a typical time in politics.”

He said the government is bankrupting kids and grandkids, and constitutional rights are under assault. He added that the world is a much more dangerous place.

But he claimed that there is hope, saying, “All across this country, the American people are waking up, and I’ll tell you today – help is on the way!”

“If I’m elected president, let me tell you what I intend to do on the first day in office,” Cruz began.

Cruz hits all the big issues with brilliance, passion, conviction, knowledge, and substance. He is easily the best in the field.

I understand the allure of Trump.

But Cruz is the best candidate for President, by a very wide margin.
