Grassroots Momentum Helps Cruz Top Previous Post-Debate Haul of $1M in 100 Hours
HOUSTON, Texas In the first 48 hours following the second GOP presidential debate, the Cruz for President campaign has again seen a fundraising surge topping $1M in new monies raised.
The numbers are impressive:
I am thrilled by the outpouring of financial support weve seen in such a short amount of time, said Sen. Ted Cruz. The American people are rising up and we are seeing an explosion of momentum. They want an outsider, someone who will stand up to career politicians from both parties and fight the Washington Cartel. They want real leadership from a consistent conservative, not a campaign conservative.
Today’s fundraising announcement puts a capstone on a week of impressive grassroots momentum for the Cruz campaign. Yesterday, South Carolina State Representative Wendy Nanney became the 500th member among state leadership teams the Cruz campaign is building across the country.
Cruz’s strong debate performances, impressive fundraising hauls, and growing grassroots organizational strength stretching from the early primary states to the 3/1 SEC Primary states and beyond, have Cruz well-positioned to capture the Republican nomination.

For example why does Trump want to expedite the "good" illegals back into the country for an amnesty?
And the "good" ones could easily be the 20 million non-criminals.
I’ve sent between $10 and $35 several times but I cannot send large amounts.
Thank you for sending your donation. We need Cruz in the White House.
[I suspect Fiorina (haven’t looked) is financing her own “hard” campaign already.]
I wouldn’t want to work for her campaign. It took her four years to pay her staff in the losing battle to Boxer.
Impressive for someone way down in the polls. Slow and steady wins the race.
Cruz/Walker 2016!
What does Trump say, do, or believe about anything have to do with votes cast by Ted Cruz?
I am a Trump supporter, but not because I think he's the embodiment of conservatism...especially Orthodox Conservatism.
He advocates for and promises to build a wall and start deportations immediately. He also believes immigration needs to serve Americans.
He is opposed to "Free Trade" as defined by Goldman Sachs and their Wall Street and Silicon Valley cohorts. He insists he would impose Tariffs.
He advocates for a tax on Hedge Fund "income"
These do not fit within current Orthodox Conservatism.
Trump is no "Conservative". Never will be.
But, I am ASTONISHED to see so many Cruz supporters that cannot even admit their candidate's failings.
Wow! Two months here and you’re the expert on conservatism?
Bwahahaha...not as ASTONISHED as I am of the hypocrisy of that statement.
But then what can I expect from some Trump supporters who spam Cruz threads with the same talking points in every single thread.
Thank you for showing up to educate us about Cruz - the best conservative in the race.
That is not "orthodox" conservatism... just common sense and good conscience.
No Sir. Senator Cruz has my respect. Love listening to him. Hope to see him as a Supreme Court Justice one day. But... I am a one issue voter. Immigration. Illegal and legal. With all I’ve been reading here, perhaps I am not a Conservative, Republican or Catholic.
The guy is a regular energizer bunny.
Last night he spoke at te Heritage Foundation, this morning on Mackinac Island, and tonight he’ll be speaking in Des Moines at the faith and freedom coalition banquet at 6:30.
Immigration is the most important issue we face today and overshadows all others. One just has to use common sense to realize the destructive force of illegal aliens and from enemy nations as well as those wanting welfare or sanctuary. They have no respect for our laws and values.
America could do worse! :)
H1-B and illegal aliens are apples and oranges.
With all due respect, I probably have forgotten more than you know about both. I spent 7 years working in immigration law. My specialty? H1bs. Never had a one denied. Also worked The LIFE Act Amnesty of 2000 - a reinstatement of the rolling Section 245(i) amnesty to an estimated 900,000 illegal aliens.
I was at the state unemployment office for 20 years, where we handled the job orders and other administration for H1-B visas before they were approved or disapproved. Did you know that?
Yes. It is. For your reasons and more.
I don’t agree with any work visa being issued with the number of unemployed in this country.
Honestly, Trump must answer for all of his stupid comments or actions, too.
It goes both ways. This is the only to get the truth out there for all of us.
There is a current shortage of qualified high-skilled workers in the U.S.
False. There are 50% more graduates than job openings in the STEM fields. - http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2014/05/16/scholars-debunk-claims-of-high-tech-workers-shortage-question-industry-s-free-pass/
Additionally, more H-1B workers mean more jobs for American workers according to a study by the American Enterprise Institute, for every additional 100 H-1B workers, 183 jobs are created for U.S. citizens.
The AEI study on H-1B was riddled with flaws: see http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3271551/posts?page=207#207 and following.
