DONALD TRUMP'S 'REALSPEAK' STYMIES 'NEWSPEAK' ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICANS WHO AREN'T GIVING UP
Vanity | 9/15/2015 | Self

Posted on 09/15/2015 5:16:29 AM PDT by Nextrush

For millions of Americans Donald Trump is a voice of reality in politics in the midst of voices of fantasy and illusion in political speech.

Look at the latest stunning development in British politics, the election of a straightforward leftist Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the Labour Party.

In his "Daily Mail" column last Sunday, Peter Hitchens tells the story of Corbyn which sounds so much like that of Donald Trump.

"If (like me) you have attended any of Mr. Corbyn's overflowing campaign meetings, you will have seen the hunger-among the under-30s and over-50s especially-for principled, grown-up politics instead of public relations pap".......

"Mr. Corbyn reminds mature people of the days when the big parties really differed. He impresses the young because he doesn't patronize them, and obviously believes what he says. This desire for real politics isn't just confined to the Left. Ken Livingstone is right to call Mr. Corbyn Labour's Nigel Farage. Ukip appeals to a similar impulse."

Indeed it was Mr. Farage who warned the Republicans when he spoke in Washington at CPAC earlier this year 'don't forget the Reagan Democrats'.

Those "Reagan Democrats" helped Richard Nixon win a landslide in 1972 with his 'silent majority' pitch. Trump has picked up on Nixon's words also using the expression 'silent majority' to describe his supporters.

But the Republican Establishment of today isn't cheering on the man who is channeling the GOPe hero of yesteryear, Nixon.

They are working 24/7 and beyond to take Donald Trump down so Jeb Bush can be the Republican nominee.

First came the hyping of Ben Carson to suck votes away from Trump with limited success, at best.

Now comes the hyping of Carly Fiorina, who will be a newcomer in tomorrow night's debate among the leading candidates.

Like El Rushbo used to tell us about the Democrat Party talking points, the Republican Party has its talking points that one is hearing and seeing loud and clear.

They all revolve around how Carly Fiorina is rising and poses some sort of threat to Trump and how Fiorina will come out fighting against Trump.

Last night as I turned my radio dial from Meghan McCain (IHeartMedia has put her on a nightly radio show "America Now") to John Batchelor on Cumulus Radio I heard the Carly hype loud and clear.

I'm sure you're hearing it on Salem Radio and seeing it on Fox News as well, plus numerous websites reputed to be "conservative" and many local-national talk shows.

The Republican Establishment has its talking points just the Democrats and the GOPe agenda remains the same as ever.

They plan to tear down Donald Trump, raise up other candidates to split votes so Jeb Bush can break through and win the GOP nomination in the end.

I am no Trump fan, but this is my analysis of the situation.

I wish Ted Cruz would end up the winner and perhaps he can, if he can come out with a strong and uncompromising populist message of his own.

But for now Trump has the populist message that resonates and threatens to topple the best laid plans of the Republican Establishment.

So a talker, Trump, is better than a doer, Walker?

Trump is a doer and a talker.

There is your difference.

Donald Trump has ignited America's visceral contempt for politicians.

It is now considered political suicide for a candidate to even allude to being in politics, much less talk about past political activities.

Walker has not taken the uncompromising stance on border security.

Maybe Scott Walker should at least fly over to the southern border of Hungary todsy and say a few nice words about the rapidly constructed walls and barriers (I think it took two weeks) and say America needs a crash project to do the same thing on its southern border which he will accomplish in the first 100 days of his presidency.

Trump has taken no stance since his ‘conversion’ circa 2011. He’s done not one thing other than talk. You cannot find a single conservative action Trump’s taken in 5 years.

If you made $400 million a year like Trump wouldn’t just a wee bit of it go to causes you believe in?

Trump’s a fake, FRiend.

Someone with a bigger vision is always preferable to someone who plays smallball. I’ve explained Walker’s inabilities. You don’t want to listen.

No, not really. What is "suicide" is to rely on a record at a lower level of politics (say, something Boehner, McConnell, Rubio, Bush, Walker all had) as a predictor of what you will do at a higher level.

Moreover, it is "suicide" for people to look like they are in politics for life. Very, very few of these people have ever, EVER held a real job. Hillary worked in a law firm for a couple of years. I think Walker had a brief real job. The rest? They've been in office so long who would know? McCain worked for two years in his father-in-law's made up position.

In short, there is well-deserved suspicion and distrust of people who SEEM to be career politicians, more so because they simply don't listen to us after the election. That's why people, including myself, are so willing to roll the dice with Trump. It absolutely can't be worse.

Coming from someone who browbeats folks to vote for IL Combiner Socialist RINOs like Mark Kirk, for you to be “calling out” Trump is the height of hypocrisy.

No, sir, all the rest, ALL the rest, are the fakes. I don't care about "taking a conservative position." Cruz did that... then voted for Corker, voted for Import/Export, etc. Moreover, he didn't put together a single coalition to do ANYTHING beyond getting Mike Lee. So, as far as action, well, I'm still waiting on him to lead.

As for "taking a conservative position," there is a great parable Jesus taught about a man who had two sons. He went to the first and asked him to work the field, and he said, "Sure," then did not. The second said, "No," then worked anyway. Jesus's point was that talking does not equal action.

We KNOW the rest won't act on a national stage. They've already proven it. As for Walker, he has acted well on a small stage, then subsequently given no indication whatsoever he understands the national problems, nor has he until this week even translated what he did in WI to a national anti-union campaign. Had he done that out of the gate AND taken a hard line on immigration, he'd have more than 3-4% now.

“So a talker, Trump, is better than a doer, Walker?”

When Walker manages to realize that running for president isnt the the same as handing in a resume to the local HR Block, then he would be somewhere.

Do you Walker supports have even the slightest idea as what it takes to run for president? You guys seem to wander around with this sentimental naivety that if you just repeat some local Wisconsin political wins like robot, that somehow the ENTIRE nation was just going to fall all over themselves and vote for him.

It’s like you guys have no clue about the state of this nation. This isn’t an election to find a boring bureaucrat that will fade into the crowd of goons in DC and MAYBE get a few crumbs out of congress.

The sooner Walker gets that, the sooner he will realize that he will drop out.

If Trump wants to win this thing in a runaway landslide, he can do so by proclaiming:

"No more Muslim immigrants, 'refugees' or otherwise. The ones we have already taken we will deport or withdraw their green card or citizenship if they support radical Islam in any way or commit a criminal felony. We are not going to continue to facilitate our own destruction like Europe.".

All Trump would need to do is show up for his inauguration in January, 2017.

My sense of Donald Trump is in the end he will disappoint along the lines of Schwarzenegger in California.

For now we share the same ‘enemies’ in the GOP Establishment who want to take him out for Jeb.

I hear the usual blasts about Trump not ‘doing anything’ like other candidates have. That’s one of the oldest Republican Establishment attack lines in the book for use against outsider candidates.
