Kasich: Syrian war could be over if we funded Al Qaeda
americanthinker.com ^ | 9/7/15 | Ed Straker

In Revenge of the Sith, the emperor replaces Count Dooku, his elderly apprentice played by Christopher Lee, with a younger, more vigorous apprentice with puppydog eyes named Anakin Skywalker. It looks like GOP insiders and the Chamber of Commerce crowd have done much the same thing. Bush was supposed to be their anointed candidate but is faltering, and their backup candidate, Chris Christie, seems stuck in the polls. So they have chosen a new and more powerful apprentice for Bush, in the form of John Kasich.

Kasich is starting to gain traction in New Hampshire, which is filled with refugees from high-tax liberal Massachusetts who want to turn New Hampshire into a high-tax liberal state. But the problem is that Kasich is giving interviews and saying dumb things:

That's right! There are only three armed camps in Syria: the brutal Assad, the brutal Islamic State, and the brutal, diffuse "other" rebels, most of which are affiliated with Al-Nusra, the local franchise of Al Qaeda.

Every time liberals (and some Republicans) complain that we aren't doing enough to help "moderate" rebels, it is discovered that very often when we give them weapons, they wind up in the hands of Al Qaeda. That's why we paid $500,000,000 but could only find 60 rebels to train.

Donald Trump gets criticized for not knowing the obscure leaders of rebel groups, but Kasich is the true ignoramus, because he would have us give even more weapons to Al Qaeda.

Yeah, that pontificating bore with the cowlick is busily being pushed since Bush is imploding. I’ll have to sit home if he gets the nomination.

Totally wrong (as usual).

Our reddest counties border Massachusetts, and are filled with refugees who WANT our low-tax, gun freedom, mind your own business environment.

The invaders are in the counties that border Vermont. The NY liberals have ruined that state and can't stand living there anymore. So, like locusts, they prowl into NH, horrified to find that we still allow billboards along the highways.

Fund Al Qaeda?! Won’t even ask if he’s nuts, it’s obvious.

I agree with the author.

Currently in Syria the primary players in the game are Assad, Isis and Al Nusra. There are no “moderate” rebels left. The fifty that were left and Mr Obama spent a half billion training to make it look like he was doing something got killed as soon as they were let loose in the field or ran away.

Of the three entities currently fighting, one terrorizes Israel and certain Middle East Sunnis but poses no direct threat to the US and the other two want to terrorize Israel, Middle East Shia, non islamists and the US and the West. Looks like Mr Putin chose door number one to get a warm water port while Mr Obama opted for doors 2 and 3.The difference between Putin and Obama is that Putin is not at war with reality.

I heard him on TV after he left Congress once and I determined that he was just another RINO and not the conservative we’d been led to believe he was.

I recently also heard him near crying about anchor babies and Dreamers like he was a sobbing Democrat - like Bush.

This is just further confirmation. There really is no way I’d ever cast a vote for him. I put him in the same boat as Bush - despite all the hoopla about him being ‘conservative’. It’s BS.

I've disliked him for years when he would go on Chris Matthews and just bloviate! You could see him inhaling a vast amount of air just so he could bloviate some more. It drove me crazy and I'd scream: get rid of that cowlick! You look like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals series. The idea of listening to him choking up when he danced with the bride (or groom??)at a gay wedding. Sickening.

They are peas in a pod - Bush and Kasich, both have the same Lurch-like posture and pallor. It has been said that Bush could replace the H without any one noticing - well, Kasich could replace Bush without anyone noticing. So there you have it: replace Obama with a troika of Presidents, working alternating weeks - Bush, Kasich, and Hillary.

Bush has all the charisma and personality of Bob Dole. And we all remember how that worked out.

Some people thought Kasich did well in the debate. I didn’t see that. When he talks I see another Bush type but less articulate. He is out there saying how much he likes Hillary and now touting what General Petraus said about supporting Al Quada and whatever else he is told to say. Useless as a leader, maybe good as a puppet....for the Democrats. Ohio Dem lover.......sound familiar?

Did John Kasich's campaign manager tell him to sound more like John MeCain to win votes?

Maybe MeCain can set up a photo-to op with some of his terrorist friends.

No Worries.

Barack will continue to lead from behind, where the view never changes.

Putin is setting up bases inside Syria, I read, he's not afraid to lead & take charge.

Anyone that say out loud "we should arm Al Quada" needs to be locked up for the duration of the "War on Terror". John Kasich you want to arm the people that did this

Kasich has been taking advice from McCain and Graham. They armed Al Queda already and want to give them more weapons.

There never were any “moderates” in Syria. We had no business getting involved in Syria’s civil war as much as we had no business overthrowing Quaddaffi.
The Obama/Clinton foreign policy (if you can call it that) has turned the entire Middle East into an inferno.

As long as muslims are killing muslims, we should stay out of the way and let them. In fact we should encourage all young muslim men to go to Syria to die for their faith.

What a dolt. Well Kasich is out for me as well as anyone else who thinks we should be further entangled in this Muslim religious civil war on the side of any of the parties to it.

We should not fund ANY of these people.

We don’t know who they are.

We don’t know what their aims are (except to kill each other and anyone who gets in their way).

We know for a fact from prior experience that they will not be grateful and will turn on us in an instant and hate us even more.

They can’t be ‘nation built’ or converted to ‘democracy’ or anything else. If they want those things they can damn well get them themselves.

They don’t want Western ways and values and even if they did they can get them themselves without our ‘help’.

Their over 1000 year old ISLAMIC CIVIL WAR will not end any time soon and has NOTHING TO DO WITH US.

We cannot make them ‘peaceful’. They have to do that themselves.
