Palin Defends Trump: We Need a ‘Tough’ POTUS, Not a Master of Trivial Pursuit

palin

Sarah Palin appeared on CNN this morning and defended Donald Trump after his less-than-stellar interview with Hugh Hewitt.

Trump’s foreign policy-focused interview was pretty widely panned for The Donald’s loose grasp on the issues. On State of the Union this morning, Tapper asked Palin if she thought Trump got “gotcha” questions.

Palin said, “I’d rather have a president who is tough and puts America first than can win a game of Trivial Pursuit.”

She added that the public doesn’t “give a flying flip” which specific leaders are overseeing specific regions anyway. Palin suggested a good metric to judge candidates by might be whether they know the price of a barrel of oil.

She also dismissed the idea that the Republican Party has a problem with minorities, telling Tapper the GOP is a “party of tolerance.”

Trump is going to get qualified people for his cabinet and consult with them. What is so difficult to comprehend about that, other than the only person the current CIC consults with is Valerie Jarrett?

I would rather have someone who is both “Conservative” and “Tough”

If someone is just “Tough” but doesn’t have a clue what conservatism is or what principles to stand behind, then what’s the point?

Trump is not a conservative. Cruz is. Cruz is also tough.

Cruz “trumps” Trump.

If Trump wants to hit back on the gotcha questions, all he has to do is quiz them on the Society of Professional Journalistss Code of Ethics.

I strongly suspect the "ambusher" who asked those questions had no idea of the identieies until he looked them up for his question.

I'd be happy if all raghead terrorists were just known as "A Late Raghead Terrorist Swine". That's all I need to know.

Trump and Cruz are a tag team. They have something up their collective sleeve. My bet is that Cruz will be his running mate and he will step aside after one term.

I truly believe Trump loves his country.

The old ‘gotcha! game of interviewers asking a candidate to name the current leader of some terrorist group or obscure country, with the clear inference that if they cannot, get the name wrong or misunderstand the question, they are instantly unqualified to be president hasn’t be effective for years.

As Sarah Palin stated, no one gives a ‘flying flip’ about the name of some terrorist group’s leader or an obscure country’s president. This is just a ploy to try and undermine a primary candidate that is driving the Republican establishment insane as none of the usual gotcha! tricks are hurting his popularity.

Obama has those guys on speed dial.

We only need to know their coordinates if we are planning to target them.

Sarah, being tough and having knowledge of world affairs are not mutually exclusive. Why are you acting so blonde? Are you really willing to expend your political capital on this classless individual? What in his history has convinced you that he can believably and consistently carry the conservative torch for America’s true conservatives? He’s squishy at best, but he could be a self-serving liar. I post; you decide.

I’m a Cruz supporter but if for some reason Trump is the nominee I won’t have any problems voting for him and it’s not just because he’s the GOP nominee running against a liberal.

Most Trump supporters know Trump isn’t a conservative, in fact, he is a moderate but not the Republican Establishment kind of moderate that would backstabbed conservatives. Conservatives in Congress can work with Trump in office because he doesn’t hate the base, Establishment leaders hate the base and would do everything to thwart their efforts and we have seen it over the last few decades to confirm that’s so.

I refuse to apologize for supporting Trump.

If the Conservative Sanhedrin can't recognize the only Republican who can break through the media's twenty-five year, undefeated, disinformation campaign, they deserve Obama again.

Point to the scoreboard all you want. It still doesn’t prove Trump is a conservative, just that he’s really good at manipulating people and deceiving people, such as yourself.

When you have logical facts to back up anything regarding Trump on this issues, we’ll be waiting. /crickets
