Front-runner Donald Trump has surged to a nearly 40 percent lead in the latest Alabama Republican primary poll.
From Aug. 29 Sep. 1, Gravis Marketing asked 1,616 participants, assuming you had to vote today, which 2016 GOP Candidate would you vote for? Trump garnered an astonishing 38 percent, effectively matching the percentage received by the other candidates combined (38.8). In the last Alabama poll, Trump was supported by 30 percent of voters, and the real estate moguls eight point boost could possibly be attributed to his recent trip to Mobile (38.8).
Ben Carson is the only other candidate to break double-digits (16.7). He and Trump are currently tied at 23 percent in Iowa. (RELATED: Monmouth U. Poll Has Trump, Carson Tied In Iowa)
Additionally, Trump set high marks among voters aged 18-49 (42.1) and voters self-identifying as Democrats (28.1).
Alabama will hold its primary on March 1.
I’m surprised to see Lindsey Graham doing so well....
LOL....Linda Graham must have been polled.
LOL - he is making progress, isn’t he?
Rick Perry is very impressive at a whopping .3%. That is performance. Wow!
Can you say that with a straight face?
I hope not. Bwaaaa-haaa-haa-ha!
Lindsey must have had such high numbers that they didn’t want to print it... His strategy of attacking Trump will pay off soon I know it...
Rest assured, most of the other GOPe candidates and their counselors look at Graham's poll numbers not so much as an indicator of Graham's appeal, but more as an indicator of what happens when Trump decides to engage broadsides.
There are rumors Lindsay is having to give up three veterans and two first round picks in the run-up to 2020, just to remain in positive numbers right now. /s
Rick Perry’s old 2012 political team is so good, that I can guarantee you right now that Scott Walker will be doing just as good as Perry is right now, in 2020.
Congrats Scott!
“I’m melting, I’m melting... oooohhhhhhhh... I’m meltin...
Once he starts getting 40+ percent nationally, he could almost win as an independent. then Dems and GOPe’s would have to fight over the rest. Even if they split, the best they could do is 30% each.
Did they not include the poll’s margin of error because all of the GOPe candidates are in it?
Look at the age distribution of Jeb’s support. Skews strongly to over 65’s.
Fiorina is a juggernaut at 2.3% /S
40% is the key threshold which will discourage the gang of 6 Trump haters from posting on this thread. These poll numbers are killing them!
