His platform sounds like the NDP (New Democratic Party), which had a significant presence in BC after the old Social Credit Party collapsed into graft and corruption 23 years ago. Then the NDP bankrupted the province and was replaced by the Liberals.
After the bankruptcy, I don't know if the NDP retained much of a presence, but this fellow sounds like an NDP wannabee.

Sounds like lefty loon, yes. He’s running as “I”, in riding newly created and vacant that should be safe Tory though they’ve been forced to switch candidates after the first one faced allegations of chicanery in the nomination process. The 2011 results if this riding had existed then are

32% NPD
If anything this lunatic will be a help, shaving a few points off the NPD total, they choose their candidate tomorrow.
