Cruz appears to be the cleanest man to run since Reagan and may actually surpass Reagan in some areas.True. But also falls short of Reagan in some areas.

"It is is incomprehensible to me that any informed conservative would prefer over Ted Cruz a man who has been notoriously wrong on abortion, wrong on taxes, wrong on health care, wrong on guns and in the wrong party.

It is incomprehensible to me that any informed conservative who has watched the administration of George HW Bush, George W. Bush, who has watched the reign of John Boehner in in the House and Mitch McConnell in the Senate would ever entrust their fate to an individual with a questionable conservative pedigree over a proven conservative warrior."

I'm firmly entrenched in the belief that the Trump fascination has escalated to a bizarre personality cult. As some of his supporters become more fervent, the need to try and tear down Cruz in an effort to elevate Trump is becoming more common.

I'm seeing dismissive to downright nasty remarks about Cruz, some of them childishly petty---Cruz is a wimp, he's half the man Trump is, his clothing is cheap and ill-fitting compared to that of Trump.

My mind won't stop reeling over the clear and obvious truth that conservatives are as prone to idol worship as the Obamabots of 2008. Before this, I would have called you a liar had you claimed so.

It doesn't matter how often the uncomfortable facts about Trump are posted. His fans stick their fingers in their ears and hum...they don't want to know.

"He didn’t accuse Pam Geller of bringing the Garland terror attack on herself or threaten to find dirt to smear Michelle Malkin."

That vile attack on Michelle Malkin confirmed for me that Trump is nothing but a sleazebag, just as I always thought.

” Why Cruz is not at the top of every conservatives list is unbelievable to me. “

Simple, they aren’t conservatives.

Who cares, we a being invaded, we are being over run and you want some kind of purity test? Tens of thousand of Americans are being raped, murdered, robbed and let go from work. Screw the purity test.

You scrape the bottom of a septic tank. dredge up a lying liberal like trump and you're going to whine about "purity"?

LOL

Absolutely true.

In His wisdom, He allowed our forefathers to create this nation.
For generations we gave all glory to Him and humbly asked for His blessings. As a result, our nation prospered and became the leader of nations.

We have turned our back to Him and as a result our prosperity and standing in the world has suffered terribly. The only way back is to return to the Bible and allow Him to heal the nation.

Any Being who can create the universe, hold it together by His will, see to the rise and fall of nations and still concern Himself with the day to day struggles of a speck such as myself is a truly Awesome and Benevolent Being worthy of the title of GOD.

Do you have any clue as to why Cruz brought up the H-1B amendment?

I'd rather know why he reiterated his support for an H-1B expansion on July 7: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3309118/posts

The question is not does Ted Cruz trust 0bama. The question at hand with us here is do we trust Ted Cruz? Some of us don’t & the ship has sailed.

One thing that haunts me deeply: Does Hebrews 6:4 apply only to individuals, or does it apply concentrically outwards as well, to families, nations...?

“Article V.”

3/4 of states ratification threshold. Or said another way, ALL of the states plus one of the following: IL, CT, OR, CA, NJ, NY, HI, VT, MA, MD, DE, RI, and MN. There’s a reason why it hasn’t been done in the past.

Cynical credit where it’s due: the uniparty has done an impressive job of ensuring their long term political domination.

I'm not giving any purity test, where did you get that idea?

It's a anti-Cruz bots who are being anal about Cruz. I'm just questioning
their motives, and knowledge about their own attacks.

Screw the purity test.

Barney Frank, is that you?

It is even more daunting than that when seen from a different perspective. It requires only thirteen state legislatures out of ninety-nine state legislatures (albeit from different states) to deny adoption of any proposed amendment.

That's why it has been my position for some rather long time now that a article 5 movement will not be successful absent some sort of "Black Swan" event which galvanizes the national will to put the country on a corrective path. The main advantage of article 5 is that we are attempting reform away from the cesspool which would needs the reform, Washington. Even so, I do not see how salutary amendments can be accepted absent some sort of national convulsion.

The states have submitted hundreds of applications.

Congress has not, and will never do its duty to call an Article V convention.

The states should meet in convention now, and for no other reason than to protect their citizens from rampaging tyranny.

There is little time.

Haunting indeed!

Hebrews 6 is speaking of not progressing, so I think it speaks first of the individual.
But if taken to natural progression, it must apply, as you say, concentrically.

I realise I have fallen asleep at the wheel!
I am going to return to *study* the bible instead of reading it.

It seems we agree. Absent a black swan or very gray one, the chance of an article V being successful in the sense of getting CAs proposed AND adopted is very slim. The uniparty is very good at playing this game, and I’m not hoping for any black swans.

It’s street politics and living the conservative life for me, thanks. This “change within the existing system” balderdash is for the birds.

The 3/4 of states ratification requirement is an almost insurmountable barrier. I don’t see it happening absent a severe black swan event.

The uniparty has played this game for a long, long time. The rules are rigged to favor them. I see little point in playing a rigged game.
