The most important person to watch at Thursday's debate? Try Jeb Bush
As the political world remains transfixed on Donald Trump, here's maybe your most important storyline heading into tomorrow's first GOP debate: No one has more riding on a solid performance than Jeb Bush does. After all, Bush has had a rough last week. There was his "I'm not sure we need a half a billion dollars for women's health issues" line, which Hillary Clinton eagerly pounced on. There was the GOP criticism that Jeb didn't fight back after Clinton attacked him on Medicare and Obamacare at last Friday's National Urban League event. And there's our recent NBC/WSJ poll, which not only showed Bush falling from first to third in the Republican horserace -- but which also found his personal ratings dropping among Republicans and very conservative voters. Thursday night is going to be a big moment for Jeb, especially in this Summer of Donald Trump. Remember, Mitt Romney had plenty of challenges in his 2012 bid for the GOP nomination. But more often than not, he used solid debate performances to boost his position with Republican primary voters. Can Jeb do the same?

The msm has really been pushing Jeb Bush. That is all one needs to know. Go Ted.
Jeb looked so bad on Monday that another bad performance could shift the GOPe to Kasich.
Jeb is “propped up” like those old west photos of dead outlaws in their coffins.
English is a second language at Jeb’s house.
That’s all I need to know.
The liberals really want to push another establishment loser into the presidential election.
This debate cannot be seen OTA so a lot of households will not even be able to see it.
Demonicrats will always tell you who they want their guy/gal to run against.
Listen to Jeb babble. Watch Jeb choke.
OK. I’m going to step out of my “I loathe Jebby more than any of them” mind set ...
I agree. Jeb really needs a break out moment and needs to avoid stepping on his d***. He even loses if he just fades into the wallpaper.
But Jeb is so stupid I just don’t see this going well for him. At best, he just maintains.
looks like NBC (aka msnbc) have selected jeb! to be:
1. The replacement democrat for Hillary
or
2. the useful idiot to clear a path for Hillary.
Guess who the designated loser is this election??
Pray America is waking
the msm can shill for jeb or hill all they care to.
NO more Bush’s, Clintoons, or any other goober like these career mookabookers.
“Jeb looked so bad on Monday that another bad performance could shift the GOPe to Kasich.”
That’s very perceptive, and spot on! I think that’s exactly where the support will go. Their original backup, Rubio is tanking. Walker will be their other alternative, and they’ll have to swallow his actual conservatism.
We all know Huckabee and Graham are going nowhere. Perry’s with the Barbours but he’s a dunce.
I’ll enjoy seeing Jeb plummet and burn.
I predict Yeb will be grunting into his triple layer depends.
The news readers will declare him “Presidential” if all he does is just stand there and look stupid.
I think you said it well. I would add that bush’s goal is simply to ‘maintain’. I dont think he is capable of much more. :-)
Jebitto is done! He is the walking dead. And I don’t feel sorry for the GOPe elites who threw 120 million at this tool. Money down the rathole!
Well, guess he’ll be Presidential. lol
Jeb Bush should debate the entire night speaking in Spanish.
That would throw off the moderators off and would actually be vastly more interesting then if he tried to debate in English.
