Planned Parenthood and the barbarity of America
Washington Post ^ | Auust 1, 2015 | George Will

Posted on 08/01/2015 7:52:36 AM PDT by Mrs. Don-o

Executives of Planned Parenthood’s federally subsidized meat markets — your tax dollars at work — lack the courage of their convictions. They should drop the pretense of conducting a complex moral calculus about the organs they harvest from the babies they kill.

First came the video showing a salad-nibbling, wine-sipping Planned Parenthood official explaining how “I’m going to basically crush below, I’m going to crush above” whatever organ (“heart, lung, liver”) is being harvested. Then the president of a Planned Parenthood chapter explained the happy side of harvesting: “For a lot of the women participating in the fetal tissue donation program, they’re having a procedure..."

“Having a procedure” — stopping the beating of a human heart ...

[huge snip]

The nonnegotiable tenet in today’s Democratic Party catechism is not opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline or support for a $15 minimum wage. These are evanescent fevers. As the decades roll by, the single unshakable commitment is opposition to any restriction on the right to inflict violence on pre-born babies. So today there is a limitless right to kill, and distribute fragments of, babies that intrauterine medicine can increasingly treat as patients.

We are wallowing in this moral swamp because the Supreme Court accelerated the desensitization of the nation by using words and categories about abortion the way infants use knives and forks — with gusto, but sloppily. Because Planned Parenthood’s snout is deep in the federal trough, decent taxpayers find themselves complicit in the organization’s vileness. What kind of a government disdains the deepest convictions of citizens by forcing them to finance what they see in videos — Planned Parenthood operatives chattering about bloody human fragments? “Taxes,” said Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., “are what we pay for civilized society.” Today they finance barbarism.

Many words have been spilled over this ---- although not as much as the blood that was spilled.

Even so, this one is worth reading all the way through at the link.

George Will is particularly articulate - passionate - even angry. I can only thank God that he got it into the Washington Post.

I’m glad this is continued to be talked about. We’ve all got to make sure we keep spreading this information to all we know.

The P/P abortionists sound like mob hit men---deciding how they're gonna takeout somebody who didn't pay up. Who's next on the P/P list.. ....if they could be so cruel to a defenseless child, what other cruelties are they capable of?

==========================================

Commercial Markets Created by planned Parenthood' Abortion chain: Profiting from the Fetal Distribution Chain To compute the wholesalers monthly net profit, gross revenue received from the researchers, payment for specific fetal parts and tissues harvested was based on a price list called “Fee for Service Schedule” published by wholesaler Opening Lines, a Division of Consultative and Diagnostic Pathology, Inc.

The fee schedule purports to estimate the reimbursable cost allocable to retrieving a particular body part, organ or tissue. If the laws against trafficking were being observed, the fees for providing the fetal parts ordered should essentially correspond to the wholesaler?s costs of $6,700 computed above.

According to logs detailing tissue shipments, 155 specimens were shipped in a representative month. These specimens included:

<><> 47 livers,

<><> 11 liver fragments,

<><>7 brains,

<><>21 eyes,

<><> 8 thymuses,

<><> 23 legs,

<><> 14 pancreases,

<><> 14 lungs,

<><> 6 arms,

<><> 1 kidney/adrenal gland, and,

<><> 3 intact specimens for purposes of securing the blood.

When priced out according to the “Fee for Service Schedule,” the shipment of parts for the month generated gross revenues of between $18,700 and $24,700, depending upon whether the parts were shipped fresh or frozen.

Some sample prices for individual body parts from the above-referenced schedule are as follows:

<><> liver $150,

<><> pancreas $100,

<>><>thymus $100,

<><> kidney $125,

<><> lungs and heart block $150,

<><> brain $999,

<><> spinal cord $325,

<><> bone morrow $350,

<><> eyes $75,

<><> gonads $550,

<><> intact cadaver $400,

<><> intact trunk with/without limbs $500,

<><> limbs (at least 2) $150.

Looking Away From Abortion
New York Times ^ | July 25, 2015 | By Ross Douthat / / FR Posted by Brad from Tennessee

In an essay in his 1976 collection, “Mortal Lessons,” the physician, Richard Selzer, describes a strange suburban scene. People go outside in the morning in his neighborhood, after the garbage trucks have passed, and find “a foreignness upon the pavement,” a softness underfoot.

Looking down, Dr Selzer first thinks he sees oversize baby birds, then rubber baby dolls, until the realization comes that the street is littered with the tiny, naked, all-too-human bodies of aborted fetuses.

Later, the local hospital director speaks to Dr Selzer, trying to impose order on the grisly scene. It was an accident, ofcourse: The tiny corpses were accidentally “mixed up with the other debris” instead of being incinerated or interred. “It is not an everyday occurrence. Once in a lifetime, he says.”

And Dr Selzer tries to nod along: “Now you see. It is orderly. It is sensible. The world is not mad. This is still a civilized society."

“But just this once, you know it isn’t. You saw, and you know.”

But the reluctance to look closely doesn’t change the truth of what there is to see. Those were dead human beings on Richard Selzer’s street 40 years ago, and these are dead human beings being discussed on video today:

Human beings that the nice, idealistic medical personnel at Planned Parenthood have spent their careers crushing, evacuating, and carving up for parts. (Excerpt) Read more at nytimes.com ....

Banned Parenthood unraveling is like watching all those movies of Germans being forced to view what the Nazi doctors had done in the concentration camps.

Still making excuses after seeing the dead bodies, are ya?

Liberalism unmasked.

Too bad so many children had to die. And still people aren’t in the streets with pitchforks.

Note:“Taxes,” said Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., “are what we pay for civilized society.” (No, Oliver, dear, it runs the cartel system, when there are no severe limits on what the “tax” money is used for and it makes slaves of the producers).

Kudos to George Will again (finally).

Washington Ellis (if you are interested) writes a great essay on Justice Holmes and how that “Progressive” (Marxist), along with his pals, literally destroyed “Virtue” in our “Justice” System.

We need to return to a 1910 dictionary and establish the Objective Truth and Natural Law that is literally embedded in our Constitution again. There is no “Natural Right” to kill babies or to sodomize others. The Left has created a “Vice” System which is absolutely unconstitutional.

As the decades roll by, the single unshakable commitment is opposition to any restriction on the right to inflict violence on pre-born babies.

Stepping back a bit, the real issue from a broader perspective is "the right to engage in mutual masturbation with anyone, any time, with no adverse consequences".

That explains both the fanatical support of "a woman's right to choose", and demands for "more money for AIDS research".

Good analogy; people have theorized what might have been if Nazism had been crushed in its infancy, and today we are simply ignoring our own holocaust.

Perhaps Will's final sentence contains "the pearl"!

The core of the "progressive" argument has been, and continues to be, centered around what they euphemistically identify as "women's health," or "a woman's right" to do as she chooses with her "own" body.

The "pearl"? Is not the Creator's "stamp" on each of these "fragments" a DNA belonging only to that "baby," not to the womb which housed it, nor to any other human being?
