The abandoned hangar is located at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The Cosmodrome is miles away and still in operation today. Because the NASA Space Program was recently shut down, this is the only area that astronauts can make their way up to the International Space Station via Russian Soyuz space shuttles. This hangar in particular is from a previous time when the Russians and the Americans were competing in a race for space exploration.

Hmmmm. Looks awful familiar. Kinda resembles our current human space flight program. Shambles.

“Russian Soyuz space shuttle”

Wth? Soyuz is a rocket, not a space shuttle.

Neat photos but the author is loopy, prattling on about saving these iconic pieces of history and how it should be a museum. The two shuttles shown never flew. The other one only flew once with nobody on board.

A shuttle makes a regular or semi-regular trip between 2 locations, so in that sense Soyuz is a space shuttle.

“...The Buran Shuttle Program was halted in 1988...”

More thanks to Ronaldus Magnus - for give the Soviets a run for their money.

And they failed...

No, because the Soyuz rocket never comes back, it is a one-way trip.

You might be able to say the capsule is a “shuttle”, colloquially, but in terms of spacecraft, the word shuttle means something very specific, and Soyuz doesn’t fit the definition.
