River Forest Deputy Police Chief James O’Shea says the 24-year-old man “ambushed” the officers shortly after 7 a.m. Sunday and that they returned fire, killing him. He says two officers suffered injuries that weren’t life-threatening. One was shot in his bullet-proof vest and the second was treated for other injuries.

The gang-banger wasn’t used to victims who could shoot back.
Guns are illegal in Chicago. Therefore there CANNOT be any gun crime.
The magic wand of legislation scared all the criminals into hiding.
Did the FBI approve the gun purchase, or did he get it at a gun show, or did he just steal it?
The fact that Chicago cops wear bullet-proof vests makes me think they don’t put a lot of stock in their tough gun laws.
That is the worst headline ever.
There was one person dead BEFORE the ambush.
The attacker was killed before he could kill any of the cops.
Two officers were shot and injured by the worm.
A cop shot and killed the worm.
I wouldn’t count the worm as a human, so that makes for 1 human dead.
Revised headline: Worm attempts to ambush police; worm shoots and injures two officers; police shoot and kill worm, then discover man who was murdered by worm.
That’s obviously too hard for the headline writer.
Option 4: Did obama/holde/lynch give him the gun, with instructions to use it on cops?
It could have been a lot worse...how about:

Thanks for clarifying that poor excuse for a headline but what do you have against worms? I don’t know all of the beneficial aspects of worms but I know they process soil.
This piece of garbage probably never contributed as much as a small bag of worms.
