Shortly before Scott Walker was re-elected Wisconsins Governor for the third time in four years, I made the case that if Walker prevailed Republicans should nominate him as their presidential candidate right then and there. Since January, Walker has been at or near the top of most public opinion polls of preferred standard bearers for the GOP in 2016, and today he officially launches his White House bid, making him the 15th Republican to join the field. While this field is quite crowded, I believe it will soon become apparent that Scott Walker stands out head and shoulders above the rest. Here are the six reasons why I believe Walker will not only win the GOP nomination, but be elected President in November 2016.

Conclusion
Obviously all of this is far easier said than done. Walkers opponents in the Republican field arent going to roll over and play dead for him nor should they. Should Walker continue to resonate with Republican voters, his opponents will go at him with everything theyve got. Yet they cant take away the fact that Walker has been a successful conservative governor in a blue state during the Obama era and has been twice re-elected in the space of four years despite the slings and arrows from the liberal hate machine. If that hasnt prepared him for the Republican primary season and the presidential election, nothing will.
I believe the combination of his status as a middle class non-college graduate, his ability to talk to people and not at them, the good judgment to choose his battles wisely, a calm and reasonable demeanor that will appeal to Republicans and non-Republicans alike, his basic decency and the wherewithal to withstand the liberal hate machine will result in Scott Walker being elected the 45th President of the United States.

Author Bio:
Aaron Goldstein began his political life as a socialist. But following the attacks of September 11, 2001, he gradually embraced the wisdom of conservatism. He uses his poetic license (which has been suspended on numerous occasions) to write about politics, music, clam chowder and anything else he darn well pleases. Born in Canada, Aaron has lived in Boston for over a decade.

One reason he won’t....
1) No charisma.. boring.. conservative yes.. but he don’t go balls out..
Afraid to say the federal givernment MUST BE GUTTED....
Not revamped.. dicked with... modified.... or adjusted.....
Ok.. more than one reason... sue me..
AFRAID.. not wise or tactful.. BUT AFRAID...
He seems (at this point) to be lacking charisma. I hate to stoop to such a low common denominator but it’s all about being interesting and/or cool these days. I think this is a major handicap.
More importantly, we desperately need a President right now who has real familiarity with the international scene and SOME idea how to handle foreign powers with firmness but aplomb (since they’re going to have to pick up the pieces after Obama screwing up every single relationship with all foreign nations). Not seeing that capability in Walker. Willing to be proven wrong but just not seeing it.
I prefer Cruz but would happily vote for Walker in the general election.
I like David Horowitz too.
They know the Left.
I’m split between the two, but am happy that this time around I have two good choices to decide between.
On big positive in Walker’s favor is that he both knows that to deal with the left you have to break up their entrenched money and power structure, and he has a successful track record of doing so.
A good op-ed hitting on the important points at this point in time. The author is correct in saying the left looks petty when they go after Walker. No doubt that will infuriate them even more; then they will look even more petty. LOL!
Like him or not; it would be hard to argue that he wouldn’t be qualified to be President. Definitely one of my top 3 picks right now.
Who, other than a sitting VP or former Secy’s of State, so you think would have that much foreign policy experience? Maybe someone from the Senate, but they’d have to be there for more than a term. Or maybe even someone like Trump, an international business man.
But I don’t see any of the other R candidates as being qualified by your terms.
Let me know your thoughts if you like!
Agreed. And that is no small accomplishment, esp. given the corruption of Wisconsin by the left.
What kind of language is that?
Above all Scott Walker is an Establishment/Globalist.
1) Lacks Charisma
2) Is a Globalist that is for open borders
3) He is for Rigid Trade Deals like the TPA and TPP

4) He does not have a college degree.
I stand with Ted
Love Walker and Love Cruz!
Both absolutely brilliant, savvy, thoroughly conservative, Christian, proud family men with morals.... Walker and Cruz both have slightly different strengths from each other regarding education and experience, but think those differences are minor in the scheme of things since they both bring so much to the table :-)
Thank you for getting all the information out about Walker, I really believe he has an excellent shot at being our next President!
I started out a few months ago with Walker as my first pick. Obviously not so any more, for a variety of reasons. He’s still high on my list, but now no longer my top pick.
One thing that has changed for me is I need to know more about Walker’s opinions about John Doe investigations in Wisconsin and what he did (or didn’t) do to protect his own supporters against some extreme abuses of law by leftist prosecutors. If he did something, it seems it had to be behind the scenes. But whatever it was, I need to know more about it, and know that he didn’t just turn his back on his own supporters while their constitutional rights were ripped away by evil, criminal, scumbag leftist prosecutors and judges.
I appreciate post 17
Fine with me!
