Another day on the presidential campaign trail, another crowd of eye-popping size for Bernie Sanders.
The independent senator from Vermont attracted more than 2,500 people to a convention center here on Friday night as part of his continued quest to lead a "political revolution" and win the Democratic nomination in a field that also includes Hillary Rodham Clinton.

There’s always a “new and exciting” candidate that jumps out in front early in the primary race and then fades back into oblivion. Think Herman Cain. (Personally, I liked the guy.)
Bernie had better enjoy his little moment in the sun while he can.
I still believe Beckel was right when he said Hillary will not be the nominee.
The washing postoastie... all the news that ain’t fit to print. All the pablum that everyone else ignores. Staffed by pimply faced brats.
2,500 not tops, he had 10,000 attendees at the Madison Wisconsin Coliseum .
MADISON, Wis. Bernie Sanders stood before 10,000 screaming fans in this liberal college town on Wednesday night and promised to fulfill all of their progressive dreams: paid vacation for all, generous maternity leave, tuition-free public colleges, a minimum wage of $15, no more big banks, less youth unemployment, dramatic prison reform and an end to economic inequality.
Hillary WAS the shoe-in in 2008 and then ....came the “Won”.
I think she’ll get pushed aside once more.
Iowans are by-in-large breathtakingly Liberal, Naive, and willingly Breathtskingly uninformed. Pretty Smallminded people.
GO BERNIE!!!
But we all here want to know the most important thing - does he have a “Scooby Van?”
I think shell get pushed aside once more.

When it happens, I’ll be kinda sad, poor woman, getting humiliated and smacked down twice in a row.

Ha,ha,ha,haha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha.
Should Hitlery be worried?
Somehow I have flashbacks to 2004 and Screamin’ Howard Dean.
Yee friggin’ haw! LOL! Hope y’all have a fun and safe 4th.
I was born in Iowa. My ancestors helped settle the state in the mid-1800’s.
What most people don’t know is that like most mid-western states Iowa has a very socialist, pro-union background.
I can recall my grandfather telling me when I was a small boy that we were Democrats. The Republicans were for the rich and the Democrats were for the average guy.
Most of my relatives who still live in Iowa are active Hillary supporters. They aren’t necessarily stupid. It’s just been bred into them.
Ah, yes, Madison, Wisconsin - second only to Peoria, Illinois in representing “typical middle-class Midwestern values”.
uhhh...NOT.
This is great news; the man, who actually HAS a few good points and I actually believe to be a very rare bird - an honest politician - is absolutely unelectable, and he will draw Clinton so far left that even the few remaining centrist Democrats won’t be able to pull that lever.
“But we all here want to know the most important thing - does he have a Scooby Van?”
Maybe his campaign can wrangle one of those colorful 1950’s parade cars from Cuba.
IOWA— Idiots Out Walking Around. And my New England family pioneered a town there in the mid-1800’s. Their house is on the National Register. They were mill owners and owned a general store and were Democrats during the Civil War, which I never...to this day...understood. Did not own slaves but were politically involved for decades with the Democrat party. Go figure....
I just can’t imagine Hawkeyes knowing who Sanders is or what he represents.
This is wonderful for us.
These types of event, which are being repeated across the country, will scare away Hillary’s big money and big endorsements. Sure. Soros will step in, but he can only do so much.
The County and State Chairs, who were never enthusiastic about Hillary, see this as a justification to not support her, or at least, delay endorsing anyone.
Why is this so good for us.
#!: Hillary was always a personality candidate. So was Eisenhower. No one ever knew or cared that much what he stood for. They just knew “I Like Ike.”
Personality candidates are tough to beat, because the opponent must focus on attacking them personally, not their policies, and Rs going after a woman that is “not nice.”
Issue candidates, like Sanders are much easier to beat. You can say, (and it’s very true in this case) that their policy is wrong. You never have to make it personal/snotty.
#2: Kings, and Queens, do not bleed. For her to be so easily hurt this early in the campaign sends a very solid signal to the professional pols that she WILL NOT go the distance.
She is out before Christmas.
It’s not Biden or Sanders.
Kerry is their sleeper, with Sonia Sotamayor as VP. She is the perfect minority VP trifecta.
1: She is a woman
2; She is a latina
3; She is gay.
PS, Why would she resign from the court?
1: She is an superb speaker and would make a great candidate.
2; If she wins, she is the VP. If she loses, she gets a million dollar a year partnership as a DC law firm rainmaker.
It’s a very smart political move for all concerned.
