Here are a couple of past transcripts, from Rush, regarding Trump.

He addresses the donations to Dems, in one. Here’s a snippet of what The Donald had to say about that, with Rush’s coaxing....

...RUSH: And a couple people wanted to know — they had learned you had given some money to Rahm Emanuel’s mayoral campaign in Chicago — they asked me how could a guy that wants the Republican nomination do that? I said, “He’s got business in Chicago.”

TRUMP: Right.

RUSH: Chicago is Chicago. And that didn’t sit well with them. So I thought, “I’m gonna have Mr. Trump on and ask him myself.” So I’m asking you so that they can hear your answer.

TRUMP: Good, Rush, I like actually giving the answer. Number one, I do business all over the country, and as an example, I’m from New York, which is an almost exclusively Democratic state. So over the years, Republicans in many cases don’t even run a candidate, sadly, and I say very sadly. Now, Ari Emanuel, who if you’ve looked they did Entourage on Ari Emanuel, that’s my agent. Rahm is his brother. Ari’s a great friend of mine —

(Not that this is an excuse for DT...just posting the reasons/excuses he gave.)

The Clintons learned a lesson in 2008: never take a chance. Always rig the game.

Well I’m looking at the year dates you’re giving.....so that’s not reason enough for me to not think Trump is going to stop speaking against the demorats during this run....

HE’s likely not going to win...”snowball chance etc”....but he’s good to have out there swinging and he will as he’s already shown.

I will support him “swinging” but I remain in Cruz’s court and see no reason I won’t remain there til the end.

So ....let him do his thing....he’ll be out when it it’s time to be out.

South40 :" Out of his 31 donations 21 of them went to very liberal Democrats or Democratic Committees,
7 went to Republicans, 2 went to Independents (both of those to Charlie Crist).'

Trump is all about Trump !
When offerred the opportunity to run against NYS Gov. Andy Cuomo , he declined (inferring that the race and title of NYS Governor was beneath him).
His buddy , Chris Christy as leader of the (alledgedly)Republican coffers said :"We don't fund losing candidates", in reference to Rob Astorino, Republican Governor candidate.
Cuomo won only 55% of the vote, his challenger Rob Astorino pulled in 45% of the vote , with no money ! from the Republican establishment.
Imagine what would have happened if he, Astorino, had gotten any Republican financial support.
Trump is bigger than life . If you don't beleive him ,..ask him !
FUBAR , him and the white horse he came in on !!
Just another ego-maniacal Narcissist, and we have all had enough of ego-manicial narcissists !

Not that this is an excuse for DT...just posting the reasons/excuses he gave.

It's no excuse at all. Trump is a rich and powerful man. There can be no acceptable excuse for his supporting financially the worst of the worst when it comes to democRAT politicians.

Only if Trump goes “third party”.

But as far as staking out the issues and posting the standards for achievement of clearly stated goals, The Donald has performed yeoman duty by making many of the issues starkly clear and simple.

Agree or disagree, The Donald has certainly changed the dialogue. And it looks like a dialogue that the Left cannot successfully counter.

He does not appeal to me at all.

If Ted Cruz is not on the ballot for President, I shall write in his name.

Never did it before, but I shall learn how.

Giving money to Christ is an unpardonable sin. However business types sometimes donate for reasons other than wanting to see a person’s politics enforced. Some donate to both sides of a political race even.

I support him swinging, but there are n00bs here who are attacking long time FReepers for calling out this liberal kook for what he is. They're even foolish enough to make Nazi references. lol!

I see Trump as no different that Perry. Good for a laugh, but not to be taken seriously.

1) “I probably identify more as Democrat.” —Interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, March 2004

So did a man named Ronald Reagan.

2) “I’ve been around for a long time. And it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans.” —Interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, March 2004

It was good in the Clinton years, because of the aftermath of the Reagan years.

3) “Nancy — you’re the best. Congrats. Donald.” —Handwritten note to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, January 2007

What was he going to say; “Nancy, screw you?”

4) “Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States.” —Interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, March 2007

By that time, W had let himself be wagged around so much by the Dems, he had lost his 2001-2005 greatness.

5) “I’m totally pro-choice.” —Interview with Fox News Sunday, October 1999

Like it or not, abortion is the major deciding issue in an election for less than 1% of the population.

6) “I want to see the abortion issue removed from politics. I believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors.” —Remarks to reporters, December 1999

Like it or not, abortion is the major deciding issue in an election for less than 1% of the population.

9) “By imposing a one-time 14.25 percent net-worth tax on the richest individuals and trusts, we can put America on sound financial footing for the next century.” —Writing in his book, The America We Deserve, January 2000

Since he was willing to pay it himself, where is the complaint? Granted, we all believe huge cuts in federal spending have to be made, but in this case, he was willing to take on the compressibility himself. That takes balls.

10) “I think he [Obama] has a chance to go down as a great president.” —Interview with NY1, November 2008

Obama did have such a chance. Had he abandoned is far-left socialist leanings, governed as a right of center - centrist, and not gone further left and pro-Islamic, he would have been seen as a great unifier, as opposed to the worst president in Amrican history.

In the 2012 election cycle, 23 of 23 trump contributions went to the GOP candidate or PAC. In the 2014 election cycle, 44 of 44 Trump contributions went to the GOP candidate or PAC. (http://www.opensecrets.org)

How gullible are you? He says he’s going to build a wall around Mexico and make Mexicans. He’s trying to do an over the top parody of a cobservative. If he were president he’d be first in line to legal and guest worker everyone with his Chamber of Commerce buddies. If anything, he’ll be to the left of Job on this.
