Washington, DC1031 Despite staying largely silent on the issuehes quietly supported it for weeks, but hasnt said anything at all in quite a long timeWisconsin Gov. Scott Walker crossed most conservatives by coming out in support of Obamatrade on Thursday evening in an interview with Bloombergs Mark Halperin.
Walker, Bloombergs Halperin and John McCormick wrote, expressed agreement with President Barack Obama on the pressing issue of fast-track trade legislation.
Walker said he supports giving Obama the authority to submit trade agreements to Congress for an expedited, up-or-down vote without amendments, they wrote, before quoting Walker himself.
If we dont go down this path, were going to be at a competitive disadvantage, and so I think it just makes sense, Walker said.

So then voting on a 4,000 page trade bill without six months to study it to determine the full content and it’s effects both intended and unintended would be nothing short of treasonous abandonment of the responsibilities of their oath of office?
Yep.
Cruz and Walker are just better at marketing to conservatives. But they know where their bread is buttered.
IF IT IS SO GREAT TELL US WHAT’S IN THIS DAMNED BILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would seem that the honest thing to do would be to pass a simple bill giving the executive branch the power to negotiate these treaties and limiting the legislative branch to an up or down vote.
Later bills would fill in the details such as how many H-1b spots per year, how many visas to issue, what rules/regulations/taxes every country has to abide by, etc.
By rolling the authorization of future trade bills and the actual trade bills themselves into the same pieces of legislation, they are denying US citizens the ability to intelligently direct our representatives on what to do.
The two candidates I felt most strongly in favor of were Cruz and Walker. Now they've both decided to do with trade what Obama did with healthcare.
There is no serious candidate remaining. I may have to start thinking about Trump. However bad his toupee is, at least he talks like an American Citizen.
“When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”
Knowing the history and track record of both Cruz and Walker, I say we need to pull back on the trigger and holster our guns until more is known (too many sound bites and interpretations, along with the flood of “expert” analysis and supposing flying around).
Be careful about who is pushing your buttons, do you even know who is?
Your "short list" has always had one name on it, dude.
Ah, that should be, "remove our finger from the trigger....
;)
It’s becoming more and more evident they are not for the people but are elitists. The real question is, who is pushing their buttons.
I will go by Cruz’s and Walker’s past actions, political acumen and accomplishments.
I do not know you or your motivations.
Look at his born-on date and posting history.
I see.
Stirring the pot.
Thanks.
MUST LISTEN: Mark Levin interviews Jeff Sessions on ObamaTrade deal

It’s good that Jeff Sessions pulls from the right; it is a tug of war isn’t it?
Bump! Yep, Runt Paul is only thing on his list.
Libtardians are pretty dim in that way.
Yep. Of great interest to me was when he said there are a lot of guys who hear “free trade” and jump on board to vote for the bill without even reading what is in it!! That could be the case here with Cruz and Walker.
Or, not.
Seriously going to pass another Law that hasn’t been read? Walker is for the Patriot Act in it’s original warrant-less spy form. Now that we are hearing more from him.. He reminds me of Chris Christie.. With lots of publicity he takes on a few of the super left unions and such. I mean, it’s great that he can single- handedly restore a state budget to surplus. It’s great that he has weathered the storms... what about The Constitution.. It forbids government spy program and explicitly enumerates power to branches, separate but equal.
These are not separate but equal, these are tyrannical.
