TRANSCRIPT of Scott Walker on ABC Sunday (highlighting "full blown invasion" BS circulating the web)
ABC This Week ^ | June 8, 2015 | Jonathan Karl interviews Scott Walker

[SNIP]

......"KARL:Okay,you've been very critical about how the president handled ISIS. Some are out there like Lindsey Graham saying we should send 10,000 U.S. ground troops right now to Iraq to help with this fight. Do you favor that?

WALKER:I think we shouldn't rule anything out. It's a big mistake this president has made here and elsewhere about saying how long we would go or how much we would invest.

KARL:I'm not talking about ruling it out,I'm saying would you do that, would you send...

WALKER:No, I'm not arguing that's the first approach. But I'll tell you three specific things I think we should do in Iraq. First we should re-engage the strength of the American forces that are there. Once you do that you empower our allied forces that are there on behalf of Iraq to reclaim the territory that ISIS has taken. And third, you just need to do it in a way that doesn't provide safe haven in the places like Syria as you push them out.

KARL:So you would not send combat troops now to Iraq?

WALKER:No, I believe right now we have a capacity to reclaim Iraq with the Iraqi forces that are there as long as we unleash the power that is already there of the American armed forces.

KARL:Would you rule out a full-blown U.S. re-invasion of Iraq and Syria?

WALKER:I don't think we should ever send a message to our foes as to how far we're willing to go.

KARL:So you wouldn't rule out a full blown re-invasion...

WALKER:I would not rule out boots on the ground.

KARL: No, but I'm asking about a full blown re-invasion of Iraq if that's what it takes...

WALKER:If the national interest of this country are at stake, here at risk in this country or abroad, that's to me the standard to me of what we do for military engagement."

walker seems to understand better than any of the other candidates that this thing may be irretrievable after another 20 months of the obama foreign policy.

the caliphate may be a completely done deal by then. and for that matter, iran could have nukes by then.

I have had to admire Karl's probative questions to Josh ‘Earnest’. I do wish he would go after the actual Dem candidates/politicians too, instead of just putting Little Josh on the spot. I would love it if Karl, who is obviously a Dem supporter, would interview Obama and ask the same hard-hitting questions. But Obama would never allow it......he absolutely controls every ‘interview’ he gives. An embarrassing situation for Big Media that they allow this pResident to control them.

They will absolutely have nukes.....I'm pretty sure they already do now. But I suspect they have a deal with Obama, that they will hide their nukes (oh, except for the escalation in uranium that slipped out) until Obama leaves the WH. After all, didn't he say ‘Iran will not have a nuclear weapon ON MY WATCH’?

Mr. Walker is very sensible. That just gives some people a headache.

They are trying so hard to create a “GOTCHA!” sound bite.

When it's a Repub, they go all in to get that debilitating quote.

When it's a dem, they tip toe through the tulips, so as not not crush any dainty little flowers.

Great job by Scott Walker to parry the predictable “gotcha” question from the DNC Press Corps.

I want ONE, just ONE reporter to ask Hillary:

“Mrs. Clinton it is clear you are trying to speak to the needs of ordinary Americans and be their champion. I have a few questions. How do you know what the needs and concerns of average Americans? How many average or lower middle class Americans do you have as personal friends? Can you name them? How often do you get together with them?

Josh Earnest is an easy target, a mere spear-catcher. You can interrogate him all day long, make him look like a complete fool, and you will have accomplished nothing because Josh Earnest means nothing. He is a mouthpiece and nothing more. If Karl were more than a poser he would treat Clinton and Obama the way he treats Walker here. But he won't.
