David Axelrod: Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush can reach into Hispanic community; Rand Paul a ‘wild card’
David Axelrod, one of the chief strategists for President Obama’s 2008 election and 2012 re-election campaigns, said Friday that Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush stand out in the 2016 GOP field because of their ability to make inroads with Latinos.
Mr. Axelrod was asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” if he were advising former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential frontrunner, which Republican candidates or potential candidates scare him the most.
“I would say Rubio and I would say Bush because of their ability to reach into the Hispanic vote,” Mr. Axelrod said.

The so called Hispanic vote is not and never will be a solid voting block.
S. Americans are not Mexicans, have very little in common with them. If I had to guess Id say that is true, Rubio and Bush would pull Hispanic votes but never the Ca. Hispanics or IL or other Mexican loaded states. Texas is Tex Mex and never confuse them with others LOL.
It seems the Hispanic vote will be split, as always, with the Mexican vote going RAT and by a large majority the others going R. Thats my guess at this time.

Cruz drew 40% in TX which won his race. Not all Mexicans are pro-illegal immigration like the Marxists want you to believe.

It's understandable that Democrats would rather have a liberal Republican than a conservative Republican in office. What's sickening is the fact that Axelrod's preferred candidates are also the favorites of the Republican National Committee.

The GOP's "Hispanic outreach" collective psychosis really needs to die for precisely this reason.
"Hispanic outreach" inevitably means supporting amnesty for illegals and making it easier for still more to pour in from Mexico and Central America. This alienates Americans who believe in immigration law enforcement and restrictions on who and how many come in,and such voters just stay home during elections when one pro-amnesty candidate runs against another. So the GOP trades millions of votes among immigration restrictionists for a handful of Hispanic votes, most of which never materialize anyway because many Hispanic voters also support Democrats on account various social programs.

Candidates like Jeb are a win-win situation for Democrats. If Jeb loses the election, the Democrats are in office. If Jeb wins the election, we get more or less the same Democrat policies under a Republican banner. So either way Axelrod gets most of his agenda implemented.
So I guess they do not think that Ted Cruz, who is also Hispanic, can reach the Hispanic community? what’s up with that?
