Show me how they’re conservative. NBC is blatantly ant-conservative. And the boss is an Obama buddy. But I’m willing to listen...show me Comcast’s conservative credentials.
Well right now articles are exclusively about the Time Warner-Comcast merger. I am so for the merger. I am conservative and like to see companies doing their own thing. That is why you see a lot of articles crying about the merger and nothing else. I went through 40 pages on Google and it is all about the merger and how evil both companies are. They did say that net neutrality was approved by conservatives which I thought was interesting. I really don’t want net neutrality. Oh well. Good luck to both Comcast and Time Warner. It will be incredible what two companies can do as one large conglomerate. Our future is absolutely exciting.
wow. So, less competition is a conservative value in your world? I think you’re just basically uninformed. I think you didn’t even know that Comcast owns NBC or that it wants to control media by eliminating competition. Good luck to you, sir, in your absolutely exciting future....
Exactly and that is how they keep you..same here, I dont want AT&T high speed internet because its garbage, at least its garbage here in LA, if the internet goes out good luck in getting a tech out here..at least with Time Warner you can call and they let you know what is happening. After we had a minor quake a few days ago(It was only a 3.5 but I guess it knocked out something) the internet was out for an hour but they fixed it..I get over 200 download speed for 35 bucks so for now we will stick with them, even though their TV service is a ripoff
less competition is a conservative value in your world?
No in my World those who work hardest benefit. Obviously weaker companies are not able to do enough to survive so they are taken over by the ones who work harder. I am not a socialist like you appear to be where you feel that weaker companies should be able to survive regardless of results. Kinda sad for you in a way. You must really be conflicted with being a liberal and conservative on things. Does you heart bleed a lot? That may be a clue you are really a Democrat.
TWC just raised mine by $40. They are getting a call from me.
One giant media company to rule them all, what could possibly go wrong?
Hearing this, I was very careful to turn ALL their gear in at their facility, and a week before the next month's due date.
Six weeks later I got a frigging demand letter from some collection agency! I wrote back to both the collector and Time Warner with copies of everything - threatening to own them all if any of this sh*t ended up on my Experian....I never got any sort of apology, but I did get a small check for the few days they actually owed me...
For some time, I had only cable and the Internet with Comcast. I had the landline telephone with AT&T. But it occurred to me that it would really be less expensive to go with Comcast's Triple Play; so I switched phone service, and cannot tell the difference. It just costs less.
The issue with us getting phone service through Time Warner is that let’s say the TV goes out(Which sometimes happens, or the internet goes out) I think how it works is that if one goes out, everything goes out, and we need a phone..our wireless router that came from TWC does have a phone jack included with it(Basically what the woman from TWC is give us the package bundle price as if we had the phone with them even though we don’t) so that is the only concern..AT&T is no better that is what we have now..sometimes when it rains we don’t have phone service for days and getting through to them, almost impossible..paying 25 bucks a month for them and we can’t make any long distance calls(only local) so that is ridiculous
Satan and Saddam Hussein can’t merge? My heart bleeds for Comcrap and Time Warner as much as their hearts bleed for their customers.
We are ready for mergers to be rejected. We need more competition, not less.
I have Verizon fiber optic as well as Time Warner cables in my street, so I can have either one. There is competition.
I hear this is rare, and that in most places the local governments have granted only a monopoly to one provider.
Anyway Verizon just announced a “skinny” cable TV package, of fewer channels and cheaper. This is direct response to “cutting the cable” in favor of streaming options.
My point, is competition is working.
Allow too many mergers, and the competition incentive wanes.
