New App Will Show Where Gun Control Supporters Live

It’s been my experience that while most gun-rights activists are wrong-headed, they are not inherently threatening or dangerous. But clearly this app is meant to intimidate people into not working towards what they think is right. And it only takes one person willing to step over the line to turn this app deadly.

LOL! Don't worry jesse. Most of us law abiding firearm lovers are too busy being employed and supporting our families to bother with you "wrong headed" anti-gunners. Of course I'm sure you're okay with the geo markers of people that have CCW's aren't you? What an idiot.

This looks like a fight fire with fire type of response. I’m ok with it.

Scary stuff. Maybe not for the reason the author posits — but scary.

Technology has gotten out of control.

Don’t worry google took it down right away. Not that I was trying to download it...
The one that lets you tag gun owners is still their, of course.

Me too. Anything that makes them think their actions and status puts them at the whim of the unknown public’s judgment is okay. They’ve done the same to us in a number of places publishing the rolls of people who have licenses.

When the anonymity is taken away and they become cognizant of the true potential of their actions in the eyes of others is when they should be reflecting to themselves whether it is all “worth it.”

"The app is a response to another app called Gun Geo Marker, which allows people to mark on a map the locations of guns that they believe are unsafe: For example, the gun's owner may have insufficient training or a history of frequent and unlawful discharge. Gun Geo Marker's makers say it is intended to be a safety tool. But Gun Geo Marker has been compared to a New York newspaper’s decision a few years ago to publish the names and address of 33,614 gun permit holders, an ethically dubious decision that many gun owners said made them feel targeted and vulnerable." - http://www.fastcompany.com/3044336/do-gun-owners-need-an-app-to-tell-them-where-anti-gun-activists-live

I drive around with this app on my car. It’s called an NRA sticker. I’m not worried.

Somebody needs to take google down.

And Apple, and Disney, and Hollywood in General, and all the "News" and "entertainment" companies and too many others to mention.

I see an upside to this:

Criminals would use this app to avoid homes where they KNOW GUNS ARE..........................

This app was probably created by gun control activist themselves. They have the lists of supporters. It is probably being used to gin up some phony outrage followed by a couple of self-created “incidents”.

I want that app. Now all we need to do is tag these scumbags so they’ll show up on the map like Waze or google maps.
