College Test Prep Company Apologizes For Comparing Clarence Thomas To KKK
The Daily Caller ^ | 11 March 2015

Posted on 03/11/2015 7:29:33 AM PDT by 11th_VA

Barron’s Educational Series, the maker of popular Advanced Placement study guides, has apologized for linking Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas to fascism and comparing him to the KKK.

The Daily Caller reported Monday about the extreme comparison, found on page 168 of the 7th edition of Barron’s AP European History study guide.

“It has been brought to our attention that Barron’s AP European History, 7th Edition by Seth Roberts and James Eder contains erroneous information that casts aspersions on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas,” reads a statement released by the company on Tuesday.

“In an attempt to draw a comparison between current-day politics in the U.S. and the French National Assembly during the French Revolution, the diagram on page 168 equates Clarence Thomas with the KKK, while labeling him as a ‘reactionary and/or fascist.’”

Specifically, the study guide linked Thomas, who is black, to the racist KKK, stating that both “want things like they used to be.”

In its statement, the company apologized and called the comparison “an unintentional error.”

those good old days in the 80’s what made us great, family, normal marriage, frowned upon having kids while in school, drugs illegal, immigration control unlike today, strong military.

Now we have libs, meaning liberals and liberal-tarians now want to undo all of that.

They think that lying about it is the solution?

"The "company" didn't do this...a person did. And what this person did was approved by several layers of editors."

True, and contrary to the company's statement, it was no accident. You don't say things like that "by accident."

B.S. It was intended by whoever wrote it and they are simply sorry that they got bad publicity.

It all started in the 60s. It was as if libs threw a bottle of ink into a pool of water, and now the ink has spread to the entire pool.

"The chart moves politically from left to right."

Really? Clarence Thomas is to the left of the KKK? (I thought the KKK was Democrat/left.)

More evidence that most college education today is a waste of time. And money.

The KKK has more in common with Lyndon LaRouche. Both are Democrats who rejected the red diaper baby boomer 68 Revolution.

The KKK has always been conservative/reactionary.

The “American way of life” they want to conserve, however, is not one I agree with.

To my mind, it isn’t American at all. It’s much closer to fascism and Nazism. Which were of course in some ways leftist. But also very right-wing in others. As long as you keep in mind it was the European Right, which had and has little in common with the American Right.

Could be—But I seem to recall similar shenanigans from the College Board a year or two back.

Apologizing doesn’t do it. It doesn’t change the fact that they are completely in the tank for the America-hating left.

what this person did was approved by several layers of editors.

Yup - either they're not really editing, or they intentionally let this go through.

REAL HOME OF RACISM IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY

ON THIS DAY IN 1965 – Angry Democrats with Billy Clubs & Dogs Attacked Selma Civil Rights Marchers

Gateway Pundit ^ | 03/07/2015 | staff

On this day in 1965, state police under the command of the Democrat Governor, George Wallace, attacked African-Americans who were demonstrating for voting rights in Selma, Alabama. The rampaging Democrats used billy clubs and tear gas and dogs in their “Bloody Sunday” assault.

A Republican-appointed federal judge, Frank Johnson, soon ruled in favor of the demonstrators, enabling them to complete their march two weeks later.

West Virginia's Democratic United States Senator Robert C. Byrd was a recruiter for the Klan while in his 20s and 30s, rising to the title of Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of his local chapter.

So in other words in order to pass the test one has to give the vs answers they want.

it’s sad to see these libs destroy what made the country great.
When I was in school the boys bathroom was painted blue and the girls pink, today it is boys using girls bathrooms.
Men used to marry women, now these libs want men marrying men and then go onto more than one man.

These libs like Paul infiltrate our party , use our convention, use our nomination process to further their left wing agenda and then tell us we have to change. he way they get their votes is by saying to druggies and kids that they can have their cannabis.

Very sad, but at least I have raised my kids with morals and values with traditions and hopefully they marry those who have those same values and traditions.

Like this guy?

'Sen. Ted Cruz said he supports Colorado’s state rights to keep marijuana legalized without federal interference during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity at Thursday’s Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

'“I actually think this is a great embodiment of what Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis called ‘the laboratories of democracy,’” Cruz said. “If the citizens of Colorado decide they want to go down that road, that’s their prerogative. I personally don’t agree with it, but that’s their right.”'

Yes.

You can argue that their answer is incorrect and yours is correct if they allow you to know what answers you got "wrong". They used to just give you your score but not the corrected test.
