Wisconsin Assembly passes right-to-work bill after 19 hours of debate

Wisconsin lawmakers voted along party lines Friday to make their state the 25th to enact right-to-work legislation, pushing a fast-tracked bill through the Assembly after an overnight debate and sending it on to Gov. Scott Walker for his promised signature..

Still stinging from Walker's signature 2011 law that stripped most public workers of nearly all their union rights, Democrats railed against the bill through the night. One after another, they delivered rambling speeches in which they tried to persuade Republicans to send the bill back to a committee for revision.

“The protests were not nearly as large as four years ago, growing only as large as about 3,000 people compared with 100,000 in 2011.”

I love the smell of miserable libtards in the morning. Probably the last good thing Walker will do as a “conservative” before he shows his true colors..

You know, as much as I hate unions because of the way they turned into the tool of the left, it is ironic that the only item of the conservative agenda which is getting any traction is union-busting. That in and of itself is a good thing, but when looked at in the big picture of what's happening-jobs going overseas, the country being flooded with cheap (legal and illegal) labor, the Chamber Of commerce backing amnesty and the GOPe backed by the CoC--something very globalist and "Club Of Rome"-ish is going on here.

HE will claim he has authority to veto it and then dare anyone to try to stop him.

Indiana, and now Wisconsin, have gone “Right-to-work”.

Northern Illinois will lose jobs even faster now.

I suppose at some point he can pretend he’s the USSC as well as pretending he’s Congress.

If it’s any consolation, even union thinking has gone global.

Yes, but how many jobs will wind up in the hands of immigrants legal and illegal, once amnesty is in full swing and we the tax-paying citizenry have been replaced by cheaper labor? maybe we should all cross the border and return saying nothing except “si senor”!

I believe it, anything to undermine national sovereignty and tax-paying citizens who have a fast-disappearing heritage of freedom and engagement in our own governance.

"It's the workers in this state that are suffering through the politics of our governor's ambitions," said Democratic Rep. Cory Mason, of Racine.

Last data I checked says that "the workers" in WI are going better than ever through the politics of this governor's ambitions. That might not be the case for the "government workers", but they are only a small percentage of the sample size. Alas, democrats are loud and obnoxious about an overrepresented group of constituents (union and government workers).

That would be a huge temptation, to lose your documentation, on purpose.

"It just angers me to know that we come here and we pass bills that affect people's everyday lives and we don't have a clue as to how those everyday people live or how they survive," Johnson said. "This bill is a bunch of crap."

She hates this bill because the workers will take home more money, or choose to donate to the union. She hates this bill because the union will lose money that it would otherwise spend on liberal candidates election ambitions.

So saaaaad. Boo hoo!

It certainly fits with self aggrandizement of union leadership. There always was a temptation to paint yourself as a bigger hero than you really were, back when unions were a more practical necessity. But now it has gotten ridiculous.
