New York public schools will add two Muslim holidays to their vacation calendars, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Wednesday, a promise he made during his election campaign.

Let’s see, the population of Muslims in NYC is less than 1%. Jewish population in NYC is approx. 10%. Why not celebrate Jewish holidays? This NYC administration is following this OBAMA administration of glorifying the Muslims every which way they can. Have these idiots really read the KORAN? If they have, they’d be doing something very different.

I wonder if the New York public schools still recognize Christmas as a specifically Christian holiday, or if they have renamed it as a "winter festival" or some such thing? And given the historic presence of Jews in New York city, do the public schools recognize any Jewish holidays?
And, as you say, what's next?
1. Halal-only food in school cafeterias?
2. Schools closed early on Fridays for mosque attendance?
3. Koran instruction offered/mandated in public schools?
4. Dress codes according to Islamic principles?
5. Classes or entire schools segregated by sex?
6. Prohibition of the wearing of Christian- or Jewish-themed jewelry or clothing by students and staff?
7. Creation of Muslim-only public schools?
