A task force appointed by President Barack Obama to reform policing in the U.S. is recommending that the Department of Justice scrap an FBI database that gathers and maintains information on certain “immigration violators.”
The recommendation, handed down by the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing in an interim report on Monday, pertains to FBI’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.
NCIC is used by local law enforcement officers during traffic stops and other encounters with the public. The database, developed in 1967, allows officers to find out if the individuals are wanted for crimes in other jurisdictions.
An immigrant violator database was added to NCIC in 2002. That particular database tells officers if a person has an outstanding removal order, whether the person failed to complete a special post-9/11 registration requirement or whether the individual was previously deported with a felony conviction.
If NCIC returns a positive hit for an immigration violation, local law enforcement officers are supposed to contact U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Some cities have policies requiring officers to do this, while others have policies against it.
Despite the usefulness of the tool in tracking immigration violators and possible terrorists, the Obama-appointed task force is suggesting it be put on ice.

The American People still have the Second Amendment as a final remedy - and we outnumber the traitors a million to one ... All that is required is the will and leadership to bring the proper tools to bear upon the problem at hand.
The “nightmare” will not end, until American men regain their manhood, and decisively put an end to this tyrannical madness. This path will be difficult, but the alternative is far worse, and mortally repugnant.
Nothing will change if all that is done is hand wringing. Elections are not going to fix this problem - we are well beyond that now. This nation, in its present form, is lost. All that remains is that we overcome the fear of the unknown, and do what is necessary to combat evil.

No, we don't. At least half of this nation voted for this POS. With at least 2 million Americans as uniformed and unionized police, gang-bangers, and terrorists, I wouldn't put the odds above even.
A hitch Obama and the DHS discovered that keeps the other 5-20 million illegals from getting in on the ground floor Obama immigration surrender. Can’t keep signing up illegals (supposedly those with clean records) if their names keep getting triggered by the database.
I’m guessing that a ‘hit’ on it isn’t so easy to sweep under the rug when the DHS uses its ‘discretion’ in legalizing these invaders. It would leave a paper trail that could be later used against them when/if this country gets back its sanity.

Barack Obama doesn’t love America.
Government regs require that the database not be destroyed, just not used. I smell a Lerner-type “failure” of backup systems in the works. “Oopsie! Silly us! We accidentally hit the ‘delete’ key. We meant to hit the ‘archive/backup’ key. Honest.”
