Hope this will be the (black)swan song of the franchise on the big screen. It has gone way overboard from the novels written by former British Naval Intelligence Division, officer Ian Fleming.
I hope someday they can be produced by the BBC in a period correct (50s,60s) form and true to the novels and short stories .
Besides, the films have strayed so far from the Fleming books since at least the Roger Moore era that Fleming wouldn’t recognize his stories in them anyway.

It’s not like they don’t have any talented Scots to play James Bond. May I suggest David Tennant, who certainly looks like the character that Ian Fleming created.

Seriously, after the frivolous Roger Moore James Bond movies, the series pretty well burned out. It was somewhat brought back by Moore’s successors, but finally got a shot in the arm by Daniel Craig, who played Bond as a serious character again.
Fleming’s Bond was intended to be a generic man, with an average face, someone who could get lost in a crowd. He did not have lots of money, wasn’t a brilliant expert on every subject, and as often as not lost in fights. He was an assassin, not a detective.
The first Casino Royale movie, an anarchistic surreal comedy, actually pegged James Bond correctly, that his name and 007 number could be applied to anyone, or everyone, like a spy equivalent of military rank. This was done with the idea that the *reputation* of the original James Bond 007 was such that it would open many doors to fakes, as well as drawing the bad guys to them.
I think that Django fit that bill....Gone with the Wind Part II.
A 1950s US TV playhouse show called "Climax!" did an hour format version of Casino Royale with US/Brit roles flipped.

Up till now, its been an absolute failure. "Annie" is the latest example. Cost $65 million to make, and only earned $14 million on it's opening weekend.
Other films are the Honeymooners, and Wild Wild West.
They will certainly destroy the Bond "Brand" if they put a black actor in the roll of James Bond. But, since the film industry is controlled by Liberals, it will probably be done.

Have to disagree with Dr. Limbaugh on this one. Why can’t Bond be black? Word I get is that Bond won’t be black because Asians and Middle Easterners hate black people and they couldn’t market it internationally.
Exactly. Hollywood loves doing this, and by extension, leftwingers love it, too. Anyone who doesn’t embrace and fawn over the nonsensical black versions of everything can be labeled a racist.

I may be alone here, but my favorite Bond was George Lazenby in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service." In the film, he most definitely showed true vulnerability and in some scenes, genuine fear.
'Course, Diana Rigg made for some nice eye candy too...
They can make it but they can’t make us watch it—or pay for it. Seems they’re naggerizing everything else trying to assuage their white liberal guilt, but all they’re doing is turning our stomachs, and us away from them. Who needs this crap? Not me, I wouldn’t watch it on a free download. Ptui!
