I have heard sometjing similar to this about a year ago. I was told that Muslims were buying large tracts of land in the upper states near the Canadian border that were in the middle of nowhere and building whole Muslim communities with housing developments, mosques, schools and grocery stores.

The Republicans in the House could have defunded all of this activity when they assumed the majority in January 2011. We’ve been told they couldn’t pass individual appropriations bills because Harry Reid and the Democrat Senate wouldn’t agree to follow the historical process.

Effective January 2015 the Republican Party will control both the House and the Senate. Will they go back to individual department appropriations bills and review each spending line item, defunding the insanity? If not they are no different from the Democrats.

It is hard to imagine Boehner and McConnell even trying. If Obama, Reid, and Pelosi tell them to continue budgeting through continuing resolutions built off a constantly inflating “baseline” they’ll salute and continue with business as usual.

Elections have consequences. Only when you have real choices.
