Lol...after growing up in Wyoming and living in Cheyenne I hope they brought warm clothes...it’s a long way from Mogadishu.

These types stay where they are put. They were plopped down in Maine and just stayed despite the cold.

Yes, it is very cold and I predict that they won't like it.

I lived in Cheyenne in 7th grade when my dad was stationed at Francis E. Warren AFB. My memories all revolve around cold and wind. I think the average wind speed up in our new subdivision south of town had to be 40 or 50 mph. It just roared down from the Rockies across the plains and blew silt everywhere in warmer weather and snow in the winter

My brother and I were playing outside one afternoon in September with our t-shirts on. Suddenly, the sky started getting dark and the wind started to blow. The temperature dropped 30 degrees in a half hour, from a room temperature of 70 degrees to refrigerator cold of 40 degrees. We had to put our winter parkas on to keep playing.

We had a 13" blizzard in the middle of May. MAY! Froze my butt off riding my bike to school. And my worst job ever was delivering newspapers in that snow and cold with my cowboy boots on. I'm lucky I still have all my toes, it was so cold.

We had to turn the furnace on to stay warm in the house in mid-July. The joke I remember my parents used to tell was that Cheyenne had two seasons. Winter and one week in August when Cheyenne Frontier Days rode was held.

I'm sure Cheyenne has its redeeming values but I can't think of any at the moment...... :-)

A Wyoming woman once told me that when outsiders ask about Wyoming being cold, she tells them, "yes, indeed, Wyoming is cold. So don't move here."

Don’t worry. They will get warm clothes. And they will only stay a year.
