Damn Americans. They just don’t see the wisdom of surrendering to experts the power they need to remake the country into a progressive paradise.
Sighing with regret, liberals like Jonathan Gruber admit that they’re forced to hoodwink the citizens. For their own good.
Gruber, the MIT economist who (in the words of The New York Times) “put together the basic principles of” ObamaCare and helped Congress “draft the specifics of the legislation” is one of a long line of liberals driven by the belief that the stupidity of the American people is so insurmountable that persuasion is futile. Liberalism: the place where compassion blurs into condescension.
“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage and basically, you know, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically, that was really, really critical to getting the thing to pass,” Gruber said, in a newly unearthed 2013 video that went viral last week.
Gruber’s jocular tone wasn’t surprising. In explaining why a huge tax increase was disguised to conceal it from the American people, he was admitting what was obvious to close observers: The law is really just a redistribution scheme. Even the Democrats didn’t think ObamaCare could pass by being so described.
That’s why deception, as Gruber says, was central to its design.

Fact is, as Herr Gruber has noted, most Americans are low-information pukes. Low-information because they are lazy. Pukes because, despite being without a clue, they still manage to show up to vote!
What would happen if a car salesman sold you a car under these conditions?
Eh, of COURSE we should have elected Romney. But that doesn’t mean we love Obamacare. It’s also worth remembering that Romney had the skeleton of Romenycare in his closet and who wrote that? Why the self-same Herr Gruber.
But my current impression is that Mass was pretty happy with Romenycare, and now Obamacare has messed it all up for them.
It is important that everyone keep in mind that the way Obamacare was passed in Congress is the SOP for Liberalism. Deliberately deceive and lie. Pursue Fabian Socialism while claiming you’re not. Denigrate legitimate questions. Create class envy and hate. And imply racism towards anyone who has the nerve to point out that the policies and plans do not add up.

Why would you tell people that no, you weren’t really a “peace activist,” except in the sense that you were against America’s war. Why would you draw attention to the fact that while you called yourselves “peace activists,” you didn’t oppose the Communists’ war, and were gratified when America’s enemies won?
What you were really against was not war at all, but American “imperialism” and American capitalism. What you truly hated was America’s democracy, which you knew to be a “sham” because it was controlled by money in the end. That’s why you wanted to “Bring the Troops Home,” as your slogan said. Because if America’s troops came home, America would lose and the Communists would win. And the progressive future would be one step closer...........”

The 5th video was the most revealing. The letter exposing what they were doing was greeted by roars of laughter. And, added with the comment about it being written by his children .. told me they were all shocked that somebody had figured out what they were really doing.

The fact is that the majority of Americans still get ALL their news off network TV and newspapers. They never get the truth about anything! If Fox News were ever to become available on over-the-air network TV the demonrats are finished as a political party.
The most damning video is the one that explains that in the end all employer provided health insurance is going to be taxed like regular income!
He said the stupid unions will scream, buy by the time that kicks in it will be too late to change it.
That is the video that should be run on a continuous loop 24/7, because that is the one that sticks it to the demonrat voter base!
Lying and deception has always been a huge advantage.
Sadly, the penalty to the unions will be passed on to the employees in union dues. Unions are not for the workers anymore; they’re really a way to get funds to the democrats.
And .. speaking of unions, when is the public going to get smart enough to GET UNIONS OUT OF THE PUBLIC SECTOR ..???
Private companies can deal with unions according to what their corporate principals are, but these public unions take wages from employees and give it all to the democrats.
NO WONDER GOVT WORKERS NEVER GET FIRED.
We need to ban public sector unions, and pass a national RTW law.

Gov Walker “de-certified” the public sector unions in Wisconsin - as far as public sector goes.
That’s part of the reason the state is doing so well.
But, nobody in DC has the guts to do it .. otherwise where would all the dems get all their perks ..??
