The Obamacare and immigration debates collided Tuesday as Health and Human Services chief Sylvia Burwell called for extending Obamacare benefits to DREAM-eligible illegal immigrants.
Burwell was speaking on a public Google hangout with prominent Latina bloggers to promote Saturday’s opening of the Obamacare enrollment period when she shifted to her thoughts on immigration reform.
“DREAMers are not able to be covered in the marketplace. And this is an issue that I think is more than a health care issue — it is an immigration issue,” Burwell said in response to a question about whether families with mixed immigration statuses can get coverage.
“And I think everyone probably knows that this administration feels incredibly strongly about the fact that we need to fix that. We need to reform the system and make the changes that we need that will lead to benefits in everything from health care to economics to so many things — a very important step that we need to take as a nation.”

Burwell also addressed a recent Los Angeles Times report that found legal immigrants are avoiding Obamacare exchanges out of fear that any family members who are in the country illegally will be found out and punished thanks to their participation in the government program.
In March, President Obama went on the Spanish-language TV network Univision to promise Latinos that any information gleaned during the Obamacare enrollment process would not be turned over to immigration officials.

“Everyone should come on [to the Obamacare exchanges],” Burwell said, “And folks should not be scared, because this is not information…no questions will be asked, this is not an immigration issue.”

I’m wagering that Mexico intended to claim the U.S. southwest by its nationals taking over in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. Sending Mexican nationals home to Mexico may just incite Mexico to do something internationally stupid, like invade.

My post: That 1982 Supreme Court ruling is the reason we need Constitutional amendments like the following to try to control illegal immigration:
1. "School attendance: Only citizens, legal residents, those with special student visas can attend elementary, high school, and colleges in the United States."
2. "One parent must be a citizen before a newborn child is given automatic citizenship."
3. Felony: We must finally get very serious and declare that crossing the border illegally is a felony. It sounds mean to call it a felony, but we must do it, if we will ever have any chance of controlling our borders. Having the same illegals crossing our borders over and over is wrong,wrong, and wrong.
Illegal immigrant parents come to the United States for the wonderful benefits that their children can receive, like a quality education and great health care. Can you blame them for making the dangerous, long trip with their young children, or sending their children by themselves with the hope that the United States will automatically let them stay?
I don't understand how a child can illegally cross the southern border one day and automatically be eligible to enroll in public school the next day. That is wrong.
It is already happening. Our local news did a feature on an info thing for groups working on Obamacare open enrollment. They highlighted a lady who finally got healthcare via Medicaid and they said she was a DACA person. When they interviewed her she spoke only Spanish and had a translator. She was saying how great it was that because of DACA she could get the healthcare she and her daughter need.
The states have never delegated the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific powers to regulate, tax and spend for either intrastate healthcare or intrastate immigration purposes. It is important when the feds don’t have constitutionally delegated powers concerning a certain issue for the following reason. Regardless of PC interpretations of the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause and taking the wrongly ignored 10th Amendment into consideration on many issues, the Supreme Court has historically clarified that powers not expressly delegated to the feds via the Constitution are prohibited to the feds.

A revelation! Obamacare is not for the American citizen. It was diguised as a program for us but it really was designed specifically for the illegal influx. If it was presented as such would anyone have agreed with it? As gruber sez we had to design it as something other than a tax so it would pass, we had to sell it as something it is not so it would be accepted and pass. So why not believe that it was designed in preparation for the influx of illegals

We have groups like La Raza who want reconquista of the southwest. La Raza receives federal grant money to support their treason.
The irony is that all the Mexicans leave Mexico to come here and some Mexican-Americans want to turn this into Mexico north.
