New CDC Ebola guidelines will be "more stringent," NIH expert says
CBS ^

Posted on 10/19/2014 5:13:06 PM PDT by Red in Blue PA

The new protocols that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are developing for health care workers treating patients with Ebola will be "much more stringent" than previous guidelines, said Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institutes of Health [NIH] National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

While Fauci said he didn't want to "preempt" new protocols, he said they will go "a step further" than the previous World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines that the CDC had followed for years.

No joke FRiend. If me or mine get this cr_P, I’m gonna be at my senators and congressmans office to shake their hands. Then sneeze on them. I’ve called and emailed all 3 to shut the flights off and seal the southern border.
It may required lead and copper to get their attention though

They then proceed ro "solve" it by blowing tens of millions of Federal tax dollars on a Pentagon Ebola strike force, at CDC, with the new Ebola czar who is a spendthrift hack

Couple of corrections: The Pentagon doesn't work with the CDC at all. There is a military liason at the CDC called "Commissioned Corps" that are made up mostly of medical and research doctors.

Those facts out of the way, on to opinion: The 'Ebola Czar' is a total political hack, and as one person put it: "I believe Klain is there to "strong arm" the Democrats. To make sure they all stick to the same story and to make sure no disgruntled Democrat makes a public stink. I don't think he really has anything to do with ebola. His job is to control the story and add another buffer for Obama."

“More stringent” means you will have to provide picture ID before you can infect the nurses. /s

Ben Ferguson has this Sunday night radio show, somewhat broadcast nationally, I could be almost positive the caller was Gomer Pyle, “How are you?” “I could be worse, I could have ebola”.

******* What I see here is a violation of posse comitatus laws which are always cited as to why we will not station US troops to guard the Mexican border

||||||||||The Pentagon is fielding a 30-person expeditionary medical support team to provide immediate assistance to civilian health professionals in the U.S. if additional Ebola cases arise, the Defense Department said Sunday.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel ordered his Northern Command Commander, Gen. Chuck Jacoby, to assemble a 30-person team that will spend a week undergoing specialized training in infection control and personal protective equipment at Fort Sam Houston in Texas. The training is expected to begin within the next week and will be provided by the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby said in a statement.

The team will include 20 critical care nurses, five doctors trained in infectious disease and five trainers in infectious disease protocols. After training is finished, team members will remain in a “prepare to deploy” status for 30 days. They will not be dispatched overseas. |||||||||||||

I would agree with that. I think Obama has yet to treat Ebola as a public health crisis. For Obama, it’s a political matter, and it might have an impact on the Nov elections, and he’s working that aspect as best he can, putting political operatives in position to limit the damage to the Democrats.

NIH has had years to do this. Why did they wait until Ebola came to the U.S.?

Stringent?

Yes, U. S. Citizens will have to jump through hoops as absolutely nothing is required of foreign nationals. That would be so unfair, harsh.

They did not even cover the skin,
as they imported Ebola (and more).

So why are they still in charge?

Whether a person's ancestors owned slaves or not, the fact remains that Liberia was founded by freed slaves, with help from the US government and State Governments, at least one a former slave state.

What guilt?...For what?

Never before had that been done.

150 incoming individuals a day plus inadequate preparation for infected individuals plus flu season false positives plus some false negatives on actual cases equals health system chaos. Because of the chaos the federal government will assert control, just a sped up from the takeover using Obamacare.

I think the point is that they lied about the efficacy of the previous protocol and they are lying about the conseuences of keeping infected people out of the country. When they stop lying I will stop being upset.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
