James Golden, better known to Rush Limbaughs listeners as call screener Bo Snerdly, sat down with Ginni Thomas for a thirty minute interview for the Daily Caller. Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, spent the first half of the interview talking about black America and the second half talking about Goldens experiences working for 26 years with Limbaugh. The comments Golden made about the black community and its experience, much of it drawn from his own personal life growing up in Jamaica, Queens, NY, was incredibly interesting. And it will certainly be controversial. Here are 5 key quotes from the interview:
1 What liberalism has done to the black communities, its not a monolithic community, is horrific.
2 Most black people live their lives as conservatives; a lot of them vote liberal because thats the way their families vote, thats what they grew up voting. And because they believe the press hype, and by the way Republicans havent helped. The last batch of Republicans in DC havent help with the branding.
3The progress for black people is not going to be found politically its going to be found inside. This hope and change thing has translated into the same old BS: lets blame the Republicans for everything.
4Message to Black America: there are no Republicans in your neighborhood. They left years ago. They are not there. They are not to blame for your problems. The problems in your neighborhood are the problems of those people in your neighborhood. The reason why black people have problems in black neighborhoods is not due to Republicans.
5By the way, Obama was never in your neighborhood either. And hes not coming. Unless youre up in Marthas Vineyard and youve got a golf course.
As a man who is also known as the Official Obama Criticizer, he wont be winning any awards with the traditional Democratic black leadership in this country with statements like these. On the other hand, it certainly makes one think, even if youre someone who has not really listened to another perspective on racial matters and national issues.

Snerdly bump.
That’s a great comment by Ed Koch about the way Jews vote. It’s one of life’s great mysteries to me, why Jews vote overwhelmingly Democrat, maybe it’s nothing more than that’s what their parents and grandparents did.
Guess that makes Mr. Snerdley an Uncle Tom.
I have friends who run a black religious theater company in Brooklyn and Cleveland. They do the famous “problem plays” of black America - sometimes still called the Chit’lin Circuit. These plays deal only with inner-city black problems - there are almost never white people in the plays. These plays are enormously conservative in outlook. And yet all these nice people I know (all anti-abortion) voted for Obama because of his race. Sad. Bo is right about everything he says.
The greatest honor Rush could bestow on James Golden would be to let him be the Guest Host on at least one segment of Rush’s show, but preferably the whole show!
Listening Rush?
That’s a great idea, would he screen his own calls? Maybe they could switch jobs for the day.
If you voted for Obama because he’s black, then it goes without saying that you voted against Romney (and McCain) because he’s white. Then, by the lefts own definition, that makes you a racist.
James did have his own weekend show for a while on WABC radio in New York City, a number of years ago.
My Australian grandmother was the same way. It did not matter what the issues were. Since everyone in her family always voted labor; that is how she voted.
My favorite is #5.
I think I heard today that Snerdly is now 72........,..
Same with me, and I'm Jewish. I've never understood the ingrained belief that "the government" will protect the Jews. From Czarist Russia, to the Soviet Union, to Nazi Germany, Jews have exhibited what Einstein once declared as insanity. The belief that if you do the same thing over and over again, the results will be different.
A perfect example what what happened in Germany in the 1930s, one of the founding centers of Reformed Judaism. Jews had successfully (for the most part) integrated themselves into cosmopolitan German society. A great many Jews saw themselves as patriotic Germans, who had served honorably in the Kaiser's service during WWI. But things changed...
Same with Russia, before the Soviet Union. Eastern Europe and Russia have a long history of anti-semitism, and during the Russian Revolution, many Jews bought the "equality" line of communism hook, line, and sinker.
The belief that "the government" would protect them, yet the governments were run by many of the most virulently anti-semetic people in history. And those governments were responsible for some of the most brutal repression of the Jews, if not outright genocide, were originally lauded by the Jews, as their protectors.

That's exactly what I asked an aunt who had proudly told me she voted for Gore/Lieberman. She was so proud that she was able to vote for a Jew as Vice President of the US. I asked her how voting for someone simply because he was a Jew was any different than voting against someone because he was Jewish?

Blacks are conservative by temperament, and voted Republican (the party of Lincoln) until 1930. They switched to Roosevelt during the depression, and they have been voting Democrat ever since.
