Look around you. Trade does not make a dent in “uncivilized practices” in and of itself, and trade with tyrants exacerbates the unraveling of civilization; all the appeasement of Nazi Germany was done so in the name of sustaining trade, just like Woodrow Wilson’s craven notes to the Kaiser begging him to not torpedo ships with US merchandise or civilians was done in the name of sustaining trade too. Captain Obvious ought not need to be invoked here. Red China has never wavered from its position that the USA is its number-one enemy; our weakness towards them is just as shameful as our weakness towards Islam’s terrorism.
If they do not impact everyone’s life, don’t claim that they do. Nobody is going to praise Red China for the proliferation of smartphones, and those that curse Apple for moving its manufacturing to China ten years ago are not outliers.
Whos to designate what is a tyrant and what is not? Looking at the USA, its sort of hard to tell.
China earned that the status of tyrant (and continues to earn) since June 1989. The lowest point of the US has yet to even come close to reaching the high point of the PRC (and the PRC's allies).
We could consider ourselves fortunate that China is so obsessed with domestic riches, earned by traiding. When it goes to grab the riches of others by force (a la Putin) ... THEN we have a legitimate problem.
Given that they deal with despotic-leaning countries, arbitrarily prosecute/kill people they don't like, commit unchecked economic espionage, enforce disappearances of people and information, actively turn countries away from freedom (Taiwan and HK), deny the majority the ability to participate in prosperity through internal immigration control, deny unrestricted practice of religion, and otherwise turn away from freedom - China deserves no such praise. The lone positive is outweighed by too many negatives.
Now if you were referring to Taiwan (or even Hong Kong SAR), a lot of those disappear. They either are friendly with the US or maintain some degree of freedom not experienced in China.
Are these of the same cheap quality as other Chinese made goods?
Probably not. They’re being sold to fellow commies in Africa, and commies are serious about their weaponry/pain-causing devices if anything.
Amnesty International.
The moon bats who never met a totalitarian lefturd dictator they didn’t like.
To make sure two specific points are not misinterpreted:
Religion:
I’m specifically calling out their persecution of Christianity.
Freedom(of all varieties):
They’re turning Taiwan and Hong Kong away from freedom towards PRC-driven control.
They probably hate them with their left hand but give to them with their right hand.
How about vastly most, or do you want to stand on pedantry again?
And of course, no one is intercepting this.
No pedantry on my part. And your defense of Red China is noted.
Ah...I see from your home page that you are my brother in Christ.
I am sorry if i offended you, and hope you can forgive me.
I forgive you, too, for your hurtful comments to me.
So, where’s the Chinese dictatorship been shipping them? Are some of them being stored next to those 2 billion rounds of ammunition?
Thanks Olog-hai.
It’s also not a surprise...
