Rep. Michele Bachmann went On the Record on Monday to discuss the the ISIS crisis with Greta Van Susteren. Bachmann told Greta that the White House has been receiving security briefs for two years on the growing threat of ISIS in Iraq-Syria.
Greta Van Susteren: How long has that been know? Because Obama was quite flip and we keep hitting him over the head with this jayvee thing but there are huge consequences. We saw Fallujah fall and he still thought this was jayvee.
Rep. Michele Bachmann: The (House) committee has known about ISIS for well over two years. We saw the uptempo especially in the fall of last year. Well over a year…
Greta: If the committee knows it, I take it the people who are briefing the committee are the same people who work for President Obama. So what’s been the reason, has President Obama been trying to protect us by keeping it all quiet himself. Or has he been sort of cavalier and thinking this is the jayvee team?
Rep. Bachmann: I do know that all of this information was available to the White House.

There really is scant evidence that Obama ever paid any attention to those briefings. Like in so many other cases, his mind was made up and facts were not required.

As long as Jarrett and the Muslims in the administration saw progress, what is the problem?
Obama called ISIS the JV several months ago. He knew who they were and he knew exactly what they were doing. So did the House and Senate Democrats and the MSM.
Only after the MSM showed the photos and videos of the beheadings of American citizens did the Obama Administration feel the need to pretend to show concern.
Whatever is in the briefs doesn’t matter. All that matters is if CNN or NBC are covering it.
Obama gets his “ISIL” briefings from own staff members who are loyal to the caliphate movement. He doesn’t need or want any brilliance from the CIA/NSA/DIA/State or FBI.
