There really is scant evidence that Obama ever paid any attention to those briefings. Like in so many other cases, his mind was made up and facts were not required.

Obama gets his “ISIL” briefings from own staff members who are loyal to the caliphate movement. He doesn’t need or want any brilliance from the CIA/NSA/DIA/State or FBI.
