Likely the result of the failure of the nutrition "know it alls" and their emphasis on a low-fat, no-red-meat, no-dairy, no-egg, high-carbohydrate diet.

The exact opposite, a high-fat, low-carb diet, is actually what the human body is designed to use efficiently.

This has everything to do with the ingestion of high glycemic foods, high sugar, high glycemic diet of every day fast food that have yielded the scourge of self-induced diabetes, diabetes 2, ass opposed to the genetic, inherited type,diabetes 1, that is turning into a global epidemic, repercussions of which causing more harm than AIDS could ever do.

Active lifestyle while enjoying the facts and protein. Don't consume vast amounts of sugar and processed food, and bread. Get outside and do work.

SouthPark did a episode satirizing obesely fat people riding around on scooters with handi-capped passes which sadly and entertainingly mirrored real life. Like many episodes it was hilarious.
