Rick Perry seizes on Obama's ISIS "strategy" remark
CBS News ^ | 08/29/2014

DALLAS - Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, wasted little time pouncing on President Obama's "we don't have a strategy yet" comments about removing the threat of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the Middle East, accusing the White House of "dithering and debating" the threat posed by the violent militant faction.

"Yesterday, the president admitted he had no strategy to deal with ISIS," Perry said in remarks Friday at a summit put on by Americans for Prosperity, an influential conservative organization backed by the billionaire industrialist Koch brothers. "The deepening chaos in Iraq, Syria, Gaza, and Ukraine is all the clear and compelling evidence the world needs of a president one step behind, lurching from crisis to crisis, always playing catch up."

~snip~

"President Obama's response has been to minimize the threat, as if his words have the power to make it so," Perry said of the crises in the Middle East and Ukraine. "American leadership is needed now, more than ever. Presidential leadership is needed now, more than ever."

When I saw somebody post on line that Obama didn’t have a strategy, I thought they were just making a comment. Then I saw that it was Bambi himself who said that he has no strategy.

I’m not surprised that he has no strategy, but what I honestly don’t understand is why he is announcing it to the world. Maybe it’s the go signal for his Muzlim Bros?

obama is using the same strategy Clinton had for dealing with AL Qeda= avoidance.

We are seeing history being repeated.

A weak DNC admin does nothing about a rising threat , leaves office and is followed by a GOP administration, that must in months make up for 8 years of White House play time.

“New audio has emerged of former President Bill Clinton in 2001, saying he could have killed Osama Bin Laden. The former President allegedly made the comment the day before the September 11th attacks. “

Credible reports are out there that IS is at the Texas border. Capable of dirty bombs, mass murders and worse.

Maybe after the IS version of 9/11 occurs will Obastard then put down his golf clubs and find a strategy.

Maybe.

I think Obama’s tried and true strategy is
“hesitation”. That is why he keeps losing.

Nah, he’ll declare martial law right before the 2014 elections.

Obama doesn’t talk about ISIS. He talks about ISIL.

Yes it is indeed interesting how the man has no shame. Even now he blames others. He said he is waiting on plans from the Joint Chiefs. He doesn’t seemed embarrassed that after months of ISIS bloodshed he has no strategy. He says HE is waiting on information.

What this means IMO is the Joint Chiefs have had to redo plans to fit Obama’s warped specifications - no fighting in Syria, contain not destroy ISIS, no ground troops, only fight in Iraq AND most importantly ... don’t let this crisis go to waste and USE this “opportunity” to get rid of Syrian President so Islamic fundamentalists can take over yet another country. He has helped topple leaders in Eqypt, Libya, Iraq and he wants Syria too.

I think that last item is holding everything up since they have to figure out who to support in Syria to make it ‘appear’ they are supporting moderate elements in Syria. All of this is my guess based on Obama’s predictable pattern of helping hard-line muslims take over countries.

ISIS is getting too much negative press and the beheadings are not cool so he needs them contained as they are blowing his cover.

Perry is 100% correct about the absence of leadership in Washington, and he's not afraid to speak up about it.

Good on him.

Perry has one problem and that is Texas is being invaded. If Perry stops the invasion; Turns those illegally, in Texas, out and Perry is the next President. Perry’s choice.

That’s interesting, and you’re probably right. First of all, while Obama may have had no plans, the Joint Chiefs would certainly have been looking at options. But it’s very possible that he just didn’t like their plans, basically because they conflicted with his objectives - which are essentially aimed at installing Islamist regimes throughout the ME .

Also, while it’s true that the beheadings and mass slaughters dont provide positive press for IS, they are certainly succeeding in instilling fear and making the Islamists look more powerful. So he may not really want to get rid of them altogether. But of course he can’t admit any of this.

Exactly - note his use of the word “contain”. The fact that Obama is OK with ISIS existing and just wants to contain them tells us all we need to know about Obama.
