Charleigh Disbrey, 15, died alongside Mert Karaoglan, her 18-year-old Turkish boyfriend, on June 17 last year. They climbed a 6ft fence to get on to the tracks and were struck by the empty train at Elstree and Borehamwood station in Hertfordshire.
Shortly before they died, Mert sent a photograph to a friend of the smiling couple standing on a bridge over the railway line. He sent a text to the friend telling him to find his telephone on which there was a video that would explain that they would “never be together in this life and would rather be together in a different place”. The couple, both from Borehamwood, Herts, were seen by the London First Capital Connect driver running down the tracks hand-in-hand, but he was unable to do anything to avoid hitting them.

Sorry to tell it like it is, but you two will be together in some place... not a nice place. Suicide is an insult to God, especially for this ridiculous reason.

I suspect the girl had a great deal to do with this and may have come up with the idea. It seems she was depressed, suicidal and was on drugs.
One month together, sheesh.

I shouldn’t even read posts about this topic because they usually end up ticking me off. She had experienced suicide attempts at age 15. She obviously had mental illness. So she was ill. So I think Christ would have as much compassion for her as he has for a 15 year old with physical illness. Because he created each of us, and he loves us imperfections and all. And after my mentally ill father completed suicide I had a dream as clear as day where Christ wrapped his arms around him and told him he would now be at peace.
My self-righteous grandma (his mother who stood by and watched while as a child his dad beat the crap out of him) told me he was burning in hell for giving up. I never spoke to her again. Ignorance. Please don’t pass it on.
