The unfriendly airwaves of talk radio this week gave us an inadvertently revealing moment.

Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, a Republican immigration hard-liner and part of what the Wall Street Journal just branded “the GOP’s Deportation Caucus,” was giving his retort to the paper’s pro-business editorialists on Laura Ingraham’s radio show Monday: “They need to be patriots, and they need to think about America first,” Brooks said.

America First? How 1940! The congressman went on to condemn those who say the Republican position on immigration is dooming the party by alienating Latinos.

“This is a part of the war on whites that’s being launched by the Democratic Party,” Brooks said. “And the way in which they’re launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else. It’s a part of the strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare.”

It was the battle cry of the white man, particularly the Southern white man, who is feeling besieged. I don’t share the fear, but I understand it. The United States is experiencing a rapid decoupling of race and nationality: Whiteness has less and less to do with being American.

The Census Bureau forecasts that non-Hispanic whites, now slightly more than 60 percent of the population, will fall below 50 percent in 2043....

The progressive must be really feeling confident that the end of their Long March is near if they are finally willing to state their goals in such an open and public forum.

This piece by Dana Milbank is the perfect distillation of the Progressive Elites current attitude towards white America.

In their world view, White Americans are despicable and such a retrograde force that America needs to disassociated from our (and it's) whiteness by the mass importation of foreign, non white “New Blood” to dilute the whiteness of America in order for the country to be re born and prosper.

The Progressive Elite fervently believe that - they really do.

So strongly, in fact , that many of these Elites are more than willing to entertain more direct, rapid and radical solutions to obtain their desired demographic re structuring of the country.

Kind of like a “Prairie Fire” that burns off all the old growth to allow the new growth to take hold and prosper.

"Trust in American institutions"? Oh, I understand he means trust in government. He thinks we should have faith in the very institution which the founders and the framers feared the most. At a time when the president United States is committing actions that exceeded his authority and actually verge on tyranny, it is skepticism of government which is warranted. At a time when the biggest wealth grab of all time, Obamacare, has proven to be a fiasco as well as unpopular of the "collective" will means that we should redouble our skepticism of government-and our skepticism of the collective.

I don't understand this, I had learned in school that all men were created equal. Yet he thinks The Tea Party was a "setback" because it elevated extreme individualism over "collective responsibilities." I was not aware that we have a government based on collectives either economic, class, or race based. I thought we had a Bill of Rights to protect the individual from the collective will and from government and its "institutions."

I'm glad I read this column, now I know for sure that diversity is our strength just like it was 100 years ago this month for the Habsburg Empire.

The left is against "extreme individualism," which is its word for "human freedom."

If you are against human freedom, than you are in favor of slavery.

If you are in favor of slavery, then you lose all moral claim to being one of the good guys.

The truth is, Progressive Leftists are opposed to individual liberty as defined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The only real complaint they have about chattel slavery in America two hundred years ago is that the slaves were privately owned.

But they get orgasmic over the idea of slavery to the state.

Democrats never pass up on opportunity to tell us why enslavement by the state is for our own protection and our own safety, because life under the anarchy that conservatives want to impose is just too risky and dangerous. We can't have any of that inhumane "on-your-own economics" that conservatives advocate.

There’s the problem. Taking care of yourself and family is described as “extreme individualism” while handing out welfare benefits to a bunch of lazy bums is called “collective responsibilities”. As usual liberals focus on giving more to others while forgetting that each individual is responsible for NOT BEING A BURDEN ON SOCIETY. A just society does not allow a large portion of able bodied people to be supported by others. That should be a major Repub message.

Basically, what they are saying is that the 'latino' 'immigrants' are not going to assimilate and become Americans, who vote based on the ideas and policies of the candidates, but they are going to vote as a tribal block. Somehow, by increasing the numbers of these 'latinos', the Republican Party is going to benefit at the voting booth. Why and how is never, ever explained. It just is.
