Yesterday I called my Congressman to inquire if illegal aliens were being shipped into South Carolina.
Military sites are for defense purposes. At a time when political agendas/cutbacks have weakened the military, now is not the time to burden the military with massive child care responsibilities. Citizens have the right to know what their government is doing in their country.
I expect to hear from my Congressman soon. He is a good guy and very conservative.
Are illegal resettlement/processing centers being run by the government in your state? Would you know it if they were?
Well, 200 just got dropped off in Nebraska.

LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska Republican U.S. Sen. Mike Johanns said Thursday about 200 undocumented children have been placed in Nebraska after arriving at the U.S. Border, most of them from Central America.
Johanns’ office said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials said during a June 27 conference call that a number of months ago, about 200 children were placed with families or sponsors in Nebraska, often after turning themselves into the U.S. Border Patrol and released under light supervision while awaiting deportation hearings. He said that number could be higher than 200, since it changes often.
The children placed in Nebraska are part of the wave of children from Central America who have been shuttled by coyotes to America’s border and overwhelmed Texas facilities. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is charged with finding a place for the children while they await court dates, and sometimes they go to relatives or sponsors in places like Nebraska.
“That is not a surprising number,” Johanns said. “These kids are probably getting scattered all over the United States.”
This administration certainly has taken the path of “don’t ask for permission, ask for forgiveness” on all things. Only there is no follow up on the second part of that expression.
What legal provisions does the federal government have to do this? What law, where in the constitution?
There are needy children all over the US. Why are they not being helped instead?
It is the responsibility of each state citizen to find out through their congressman if illegal aliens are being resettled into their states.
Most are not children.
Do you know, is there an organization, or site that is posting information on the individual states and what, if any, illegals are being processed to them?
Would we know about it if it were taking place in military bases in our states? Maybe it is not happening. However, if it were happening, the government would do it in a sneaky fashion.

At least if MS-13 gang members are being housed on military bases we won’t have to be worried about them being housed in our town...
There’s no assurance the bureaucrats will tell your Congressman about any illegals being housed at places like Fort Jackson, Shaw AFB, MCAS Beaufort, Charleston AFB, MCRD Parris Island, etc.
As you know, the Congressman who represents Fort Sill found out—from whistle-blowers on post—that the Army installation was being used to house illegals. His request to visit Fort Sill (and the processing center) was denied. Never mind the fact that he sits on the House Armed Services Committee and represents the local area.
The typical base commander is an O-6 who’s pushing hard for his first star. If they’re told to set up a processing center or convert old barracks into housing for illegals, they salute smartly and carry out their orders. Same holds true for commanding generals at places like Fort Jackson and Parris Island; they’ve got one or two stars, and they aren’t going to blow their chances at that next promotion by refusing to handle illegals dumped on their base.
If your Congressman can get info out of DHS and DoD, I salute him. However, I would also encourage people working on the bases to keep their eyes open and report the processing and/or housing of illegals to their local talk radio outlet, or post it on forums like FR.
Avoid the mainstream media; they will either spike the story, spin it to show compassion for the illegals, or in some cases, mislead the whistle-blower, conduct an interview and then publish or broadcast the source’s name in their report. That’s enough to get protesters from La Raza in your front yard, and a meeting with your supervisor, who will ask why the military member or federal employee disobeyed the gag order on discussing the on-base illegals with the media or local citizens.

I saw a tibit here in a news post only once and quick that they were thinking of housing many here in the Seattle - Tacoma Area at the Joint Base Lewis McChord.
Clearly, it is a national problem and the feds/Congress should be paying for it.
But, when the border states ask Congress for education money, medicaid money, more federal judges/courtrooms, etc to compensate for the costs that the border state incur, they always get turned down.
Because, members of Congress from the other states don't want to pay.

Have you noticed how many FReepers blame Rick Perry for this mess, think it's his problem to fix, and they think we Texans should pay for it.
They are totally ignorant and apathetic about what it has cost the border states over the past decade...$500 Million to Texas.
Now all of a sudden they are interested when it's coming to a location near them.
