Freepers Openly Supporting Liberal Democrats - Alison Lundergan Grimes
Free Republic ^ | June 26, 2014 | Salf/Vanity

Posted on 06/26/2014 10:01:59 AM PDT by ifinnegan

I never thought I would see the day when there were participants in this forum openly advocating voting for a liberal Democrat.

Yet that is what many are doing in advocating Kentuckians vote for Alison Lundergan Grimes.

This makes no sense unless one is a liberal or leftist anti-American or are unable to move beyond emotion and irrationality or a nihilist mind set that lets anger, fear, lack of faith and hatred dominate one's logical faculties.

Alison Lundergan Grimes was born in 1978. That's the year I graduated High school. Many here are older than I, and in politics, at 53 I am not all that old.

This liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, is 36 years old. She is a baby in politics.

If she wins this seat now she will be in the Senate for 40 years.

By contrast, McConnell is an old man who will be gone after this term.

Those supporting the liberal Democrat leftist, Alison Lundergan Grimes, for Senate are going to simply make possible another Feinstein, or Boxer or any such left wing corrupt Marxist-thinking Senator with a Seat-For-Life.

Setting up a permanent seat in the Senate for a liberal leftist Democrat in a state where it is possible to avoid this plague, is not a good idea.

It may feel good emotionally to see the reprehensible, Mitch-I-want-to-punch-the-Tea-Party-in-the-nose McConnell lose, but the negative consequences are greater than the fleeting enjoyment of seeing McConnell lose.

Voting for a liberal for anything is sickening. Should never be done, no matter the circumstance. Bad juju.

Grow up, swallow your pride, and realize that the purpose of your vote is ALWAYS to defeat the worst candidate.

The trick I guess, is to now which is the worst candidate. You seem to believe it is always the (D)

Seems to be a lot of that going on these days around here!

Except Obama and Clinton are even worse. So there is logic to voting for the moderate but there is no excuse to ever vote for a liberal democrat. Stay home? Sure. Vote D? Never.

You cannot beat the RINOs if you vote for them

I am more dismayed at folks who allege conservatism....and keep voting for GOP Liberals.

Scarier are the folks who insist on voting for Cochran in MS

I think you had better do a little more research on this lawsuit thing.
Boneheads trickery apparently worked with you.

No court in the country is going to hear his lawsuit.
It is simply a Kubuki Dance by Bonehead.

Courts have nothing to do with impeachment.

There is nothing holding Bonehead back now other that the balls to do it.

>> McDaniel should run a write in campaign <<

Futile under Miss. law. Write-in votes won’t count unless Cochran dies or withdraws before election day.

After 63 years the D is always the worst choice in any election. Always. Never have I seen an exception.

“...tell us what McConnell has done to fight the democrats and Obama?”

------------------ This makes zero logical sense unless you are under the impression that Grimes has fought or will fight the democrats and Obama.

Can't answer the question I see.

IMO...it’s very difficult determining who to vote for when so many are of the ‘same’ cloth, just with a different title of Rep. or Dem. As I see it Rhino’s are simply Demo-rats, so you are faced with voting for the lesser of the evils when both are of equal par.

Some of us live in the Northeast and are forced to vote for the moderate R over the liberal D. Such is life. But the R is always better than the D. Of course there are times where both are so damn bad you can’t vote for either without killing yourself so you pass on that line on the ballot.

Ah, they may not count, but that does not mean one can’t vote
for McDaniel.

Mark Levin said he would not vote for Cochran if he lived in MS.
Nor would I.
My advice is get ready for some blowback in Nov.
It is coming.

Kenny, you are beginning to sound a lot like a paid political hack.

How about answering Mountainmans' question?

For some years (too little in fact), I’ve strategically employed tactics akin to being a soldier on the battlefield. ...with little emotion. I’ve seen the enemy and it is us.

I fervently believe in third party/write-in campaigns of conservatives. If it leads to sacrificial seats then let justice be done though the heavens may fall.

If the Senate is taken by the R’s, it will be due to the utter failure of Obama. Not by the strength of the GOP. If R’s lose the Senate, it will be due to the utter failure of the Statists who have, almost terminally, infected the GOP...Not due to conservatives.

In each scenario Statism wins by default and to the delight of the entrenched political class.

How many more years of Obama style politics and border dumping can we take...not much

And what, exactly, will the GOPe do about it? What did they do about it when they had control of the House, Senate AND WH from 2000-2006? What did they do to reduce the debt? What did they do about the alphabet agencies? What did they do for personal freedoms? Hmmmm? I don't think 'us types' are the fools here...
