The Saudi religious police prevents the kingdom's citizens from celebrating Valentine's Day and bans the sale of red roses and other products associated with the holiday. Enforcing this ban, the Buraidah criminal court on May 2014 issued sentences totaling 32 years' imprisonment and 4,500 lashes to five citizens caught celebrating Valentine's Day in the company of six women. Saudi cleric Sheikh Muhammad Al-'Arifi said on Valentine's Day Eve that celebrating this holiday constitutes bid'a – a forbidden innovation and deviation from religious law and custom – and mimicry of the West.

I think ALL Moslem judges are into sadism, and get a physical reaction under the desk when they pronounce sentences like this. There is no other explanation.
Well good thing that Islam promotes love the other 364 days out of the year, otherwise they would be so sexually frustrated that they would just be murdering people and blowing things up all the time.
Is valentines worth this sentence because it is considered Christian? Or is the real reason for the harsh punishment because people were nice to women?
Although I was tempted to do so,I didn't ask them what their lives were like in Saudi...for fear of embarrassing them (or worse).
That's my one and only "social" contact with Saudi citizens.
As soon as a plane carrying Saudi businessmen leave Saudi airspace, the booze starts flowing.

If any of the three ladies I met were aboard the plane my first thoughts wouldn't have been about strip bars.They were GORGEOUS.If I knew how to post personal pictures (as opposed to internet photos) on FR I'd post one.
