The Increasing Desperation of Democrats

Slanders and lies may be part of a deliberate strategy to drive up turnout in November.

By John Fund

Harry Reid isn’t backing down from his claim that rancher Cliven Bundy’s supporters are “domestic terrorists.”

It’s astonishing rhetoric given the White House’s characterization of the mass shooting by a genuine terrorist, Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 Americans at the Fort Hood Army base after yelling “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great.) Rather than labeling Hasan’s actions “domestic terrorism,” the Obama administration is prosecuting him for having committed “workplace violence.”

Democratic rhetoric is become ever more desperate and overheated as we approach the November midterm elections. Last week, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said that GOP positions on immigration were motivated by racism. She was followed by Representative Steve Israel, the head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, who said, “To a significant extent, the Republican base does have elements animated by racism.” Even some leftists, such as Ruth Marcus of the Washington Post, have rebuked the excess of these attacks. Referring to Democrats’ use of the “equal pay” issue to buttress claims that Republicans are waging “a war on women,” Marcus wrote, “The level of hyperbole — actually of demagoguery — that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting.”

What is going on? Increasingly, journalists who cover the White House are concluding that the smears are part of a conscious strategy to distract voters from Obamacare, the sluggish economy, and foreign-policy reverses; the attacks are intended, the thinking goes, to drive up resentment and hence turnout among the Democratic base.

Major Garrett, the CBS White House correspondent, has talked with White House aides who confirm that the administration is working from the theory of “stray voltage,” as developed by former White House senior adviser David Plouffe. “The theory goes like this,” Garrett wrote. “Controversy sparks attention, attention provokes conversation, and conversation embeds previously unknown or marginalized ideas in the public consciousness,”

Deliberately misstating information about key issues in order to keep certain issues before the public is often a premeditated strategy. “The tactic represents one more step in the embrace of cynicism that has characterized President Obama’s journey in office,” John Dickerson wrote at Slate. “Facts, schmacts. As long as people are talking about an issue where my party has an advantage with voters, it’s good.”

Frank James of NPR is another mainstream journalist who has concluded that the use of incendiary rhetoric is part of an electoral strategy. “Social scientists who have studied voters have found that voter participation rises when voters are emotionally engaged,” he noted. “For some voters, suggestions that some of the opposition to Obama and his policies is more than just honest disagreement — and is indeed racially based — could help do the trick.”

I’m not so sure. Democratic consultants may not care in the short term that such tactics diminish the office of the president and undermine trust among the American people. But Dickerson suggests that presidents are right to “worry that people won’t think they aren’t honest or trustworthy if they keep using facts that don’t pan out.” A new Fox poll finds that 61 percent of Americans now believe that President Obama lies some or all of the time on “important matters,” while only 15 percent say Obama never lies. But among his base voters, 37 percent of African Americans and 31 percent of Democrats say he never lies: These are the people Democrats hope can be brought to the polls with overheated rhetoric.

The White House, of course, denies that deliberate deception is its strategy. But they’ve been caught too often in the web of their own cynicism. Recall President Obama’s statement “If you like your health-care plan, you can keep your health-care plan. Period.” The White House tried to blame insurers, even though it was Obamacare that had forced them to end their policies, and it kept up that fiction even after it was revealed that the Department of Health and Human Services had predicted plans would be canceled within weeks of Obamacare’s passage. The Obama administration was left with the lame claim that, in effect, its left hand hadn’t known what its extreme left hand had decided were the facts.

Some political scientists think the White House is playing a clever game, but not necessarily a successful one. Michael McDonald, an expert at George Mason University on voter turnout, is dubious that Democrats can successfully drive base voters to the polls by cherry-picking Dem-friendly issues. “They’re basically trying to reengineer the electorate,” McDonald said last week. “History is not on their side.” Indeed, in special election after special election this year, Democratic turnout has been down and Republicans have won surprising victories — from San Diego to Connecticut to Arlington, Va. As Abraham Lincoln is credited (probably erroneously) with saying: “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.” Democrats may not be able to fool enough of the people this time — we’ll find out in November.

Dems are going to get slaughters like old horses for food. The average Rat doesn’t know anything about an election coming up. They are pathetically stupid. The problem is voting computer machines which are rigged real bad. We need to stop that.

No. The Democrats will enlist the news media, the social media, Hollywood, the universities, and every effing criminal element in the country to carry their water for them. And they will.

I am with you and have been warning anyone that will listen that with this spineless GOP House leadership I have many people I talk with that are staying home this Nov. I certainly would not get all giddy with anticipation for a massive landslide win come this Nov. IMHO the RATS will retain the Senate and barly hold the House. Just saying......

If that means fear of the Rats and their racist goon squads then maybe you should get a CCW (if you can) and volunteer to escort conservative voters to the polls, considering that myself (Ohio CCW holder). Just follow the rules at your polling place on carrying firearms.

* The EPA assigns one million acres to previous owners in Wyoming.

* The BLM Rustles cattle in Nevada.

* Now the USFS Rustles Cattle in New Mexico.

What will Speaker Boehner do now to punish these lawless Federal Bureaus?

BTW, have y’all noticed that Obama is very effectively using these lawless events by his Bureaus to distract from the NSA, Benghazi, IRS and Obamacare Scandals?

Is the modern day equivalent of the KKK the Bureau of Feudal Land Management, (BFLM) ?

If so, then Feudal Lord Reid would then be “The Grand Dragon of the BFLM.”

Feudal Lord Reid’s Rustlers are hired guns, who are furious but not fast, which also applies to their multimillionaire Leader: Feudal Lord Reid.

With the past Democrat-based KKK, and now the present Democrat-controlled BFLM, ethics be damned, as abject fear is the main goal of both of these Medieval Outlaw Gangs, past and present.

“Ethics” will be justified later by Liberals who will write the ‘revised” PC History of these times, past and present; of powerful men with outlaw hatred toward free people in America, Black or White, poor or rich.

The Jackboot Heel of Democat Tyranny is now upon us, again !

FORWARD!

The problem is that the beneficiaries of the system are also the administrators, regulators, and investigators of their own system. There can be no accountabilty with this model. It would akin to ask that Holder investigate Fast & Furious. There needs to be a study done on the electronic voting system to see exactly how the votes are accounted for front to end, how it can be exploited, and then implement safeguards and checkpoints that can be investigated later if there are indications of malfeasance. If you get resistance from the Feds at this suggestion then you know you are near the target.

If the Dems get desperate enough, they might look to the White House and scream “DO SOMETHING!!!”...and Obozo might.

....and “something” horrible happens, triggering martial law, and then the Dems will NEVER get out of power, barring resistance and revolution.

The Rats have nothing else to campaign on but slander & lies.

They are a miserable failure at governing. They have destroyed the economy & foreign relations.

Reality is setting in in America - the thrill is gone.

The Democratic Party’s War on Black People and How to Counter It

March 25th, 2014

BY Roger L. Simon

http://pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/2014/03/25/democrat-war-on-blacks/

As one of the relatively few people (percentage wise) to have spent more than a decade on both sides of our political divide, and also to have participated personally in the civil rights movement in the South in the sixties, I am going to say something that will be extremely controversial to liberals, indeed make them hate me. Given all those years I spent on the two sides, I have observed liberals to be vastly more racist than conservatives and libertarians.

It isn’t even close. During the time I was on the left, I heard any racially disparaging comments by my associates either offered in confidence or as off-hand remarks.

During my time on the right, I heard such a comment only one time — and that was by a Frenchman. (Frankly, it didn’t surprise me. I have spent a certain amount
of time in France and heard more racism around the dinner table than I ever have in this country.) I will add that, though I don’t classify myself as a Tea Party member, in the seven years I was CEO of PJ Media, I met or spoke on the phone with dozens of Tea Partiers. Not a single one of them ever said or did anything that approached racism to me. And I was certainly paying attention. That was my job.

The roots of this divide are not just the obvious Freudian projection — those who accuse you of something evil are usually the ones perpetrating it. That’s true enough. But it’s far more than that.

The Democratic Party has been waging a War on Black People since the Great Society of 1964-65 (actually for far longer than that) that has reached horrifying proportions in our time. That nearly 73 percent of African Americans are currently born out of wedlock, 67 percent living in single parent homes, is nothing short of disastrous with yet more disastrous auguries for the future.

And all this during the administration of our first black president. The level of hypocrisy is astronomical.

To be fair, at first this war was unconscious. I know. I was very much a supporter then. In fact, I remained so for much longer than I should have. But after a while, as the Great Society programs, ratified under both political parties, failed to accomplish what was intended with the social conditions of African Americans actually growing worse, I finally arose from my lethargy to wonder why this was happening.

The answers weren’t that complicated. All these social welfare programs, affirmative actions, etc. were a signal to African Americans that they were inferior, that somehow they couldn’t make it without help.

This became a self-fulfilling prophecy, a kind of mass Stockholm Syndrome. And, quite naturally, it engendered a great deal of anger.

The system wasn’t all that different from giving heroin or alcohol to a family member to ease him or her out of their addiction. It didn’t work but it kept them dependent.

Meanwhile, plenty of African Americans succeeded without this dubious “help,” because, quite clearly, they realized they didn’t need it and went on with their lives.

Motivating the supposed “help” the others were getting were two factors: 1. liberal white racism and 2. a desire on the part of the Democratic Party to turn African Americans into a class that would vote for them perpetually, something that party has clearly succeeded in to the complete detriment of African Americans, if we believe even part of all the depressing statistics.

So how do we counter this? First of all, by calling out the true racists, not the fake ones. A recent example is Rep. Barbara Lee’s (D-CA) attack on Paul Ryan for his actually rather tepid remarks on poverty. She called Ryan a racist, when Lee herself, an African American, is far more racist than Ryan, working against the interests of her people.

Lee, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and others of their ilk are oddly like the Jewish sonderkommandos and kapos who lorded it over their own brethren in the concentration camps. Well, perhaps not that bad, but bad enough.

As I have written before, and recently, as has PJM’s Zombie, instead of waiting to be attacked, we should call out the real racists first. Offense, not defense. The country is waiting. And, most of all, you will be doing minorities a favor. They are the ones, more than any, being oppressed. Don’t be afraid of helping them get free of their oppressors by telling the truth. It’s the most humane thing we could all do.

Representative Steve Israel, the head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, who said, “To a significant extent, the Republican base does have elements animated by racism.”

So, unless he counts himself part of the Republican base, or has heard someone who identifies as part of it say explicitly they are motivated by race, how does this tube-steak presume to know what motivates the Republican base? How are those mind-reading lessons going Steve?

Democrats, liberals, and the plain old factually bankrupt cry racism when they've got nothing else. Seems that's all we've been hearing from 'rats lately.

This means that journalists who are aware of the conscious smears will go along with reporting the smears as fact.

If they do that, I hope that someone sues a prominent journalist for libel on the grounds that it had to be with malicious intent given that the journalist knew that it was a ginned up smear by a desperate Democrat and went along with it anyway. They broke the journalistic ethic.

Deliberately misstating information about key issues in order to keep certain issues before the public is often a premeditated strategy. “The tactic represents one more step in the embrace of cynicism that has characterized President Obama’s journey in office,” John Dickerson wrote at Slate. “Facts, schmacts. More proof that journalism is dead, and today's so-called journalists are really propogandists for Democrat rule. Maybe they even keep posters of propaganda heroes in their homes...
