RAND PAUL TO CALIFORNIA REPUBLICANS: EVOLVE, ADAPT, OR DIE
Breitbart ^ | April 6, 2014 | GOP-e Sen. Rand Paul

Posted on 04/06/2014 5:43:23 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Evolve, adapt or die. That is the fate of our current Republican party. We must evolve as a party and find a way to attract millennials to the conservative movement or we will never succeed in realizing our ideals of individual freedom and freedom from government interference.

Initially, I received criticism from political pundits for speaking to non-traditional audiences. I was told it was a waste of time to reach out to these audiences, specifically students from both Howard University and University of California, Berkeley.

My response is this: I have never been one to watch the world go by without participating. I wake up each day hoping to make a difference.

You might be a Republican, Democrat or Independent. I speak before these audiences, not to preach or prescribe some special formula.

My intention is not to tell you what to be. You are more important than any political party or partisan pleadings. My intention is to motivate all Americans and defend their rights.

My hope is that in discussing these topics, more Americans will be open to the conservative message. A message that favors choice in education, a less aggressive foreign policy, more compassion regarding non-violent crime and encourages opportunity in employment.

As a conservative [*cough, *cough] politician, it is clear to me that we must start discussing these topics more with audiences that might not normally hear our message--specifically young adults and students.

Preaching to the choir is not working for the conservative movement. We are growing stale and moss-covered. We must evolve, adapt or die.

What...the CA GOP took Paul’s advice, they evolved and adapted, which is why the Democrats control California.

A liberal because I think someone who supports free markets and opposes massive government spending is a better choice over a pretty boy who gives lip service to spending reductions and reducing big government?

Okay.

Evolve? Adapt? As in accepting the grand triumph of abortionism, homosexualism, atheism, isolationism, socialism; defeatism, open borders, free condoms, free drugs, etc,

He’s pro-life.
He’s Christian.
He is an isolationist which isn’t always a bad thing.
He’s certainly not a socialist. He’s for a smaller federal government.
I don’t believe he promotes free condoms.
He’s not for promoting drug use. He’s just against putting everyone in prison for it.
I am not so sure he’s for open borders.
He’s not for making all the illegals here citizens.

I don’t know where he stands on everything and I wouldn’t say I agree with him on everything.

Yup. Only he wants to adapt, evolve and advance the homo agenda and open borders more than the older democrats were able to do. Sorry, young Turk Rand. Young comrade Obama beat you to it. Forward!

Given the current demographics of California, there’s no way Reagan or any other stellar Republican could get elected there.

It’s one of the most solid blocks in the 242 ev “blue wall”

If the Neo-Whig Party evolves anymore then they will be indistinguishable from the DemonRat Party.

As I recall Reagan did fairly well with younger people. You however wont get anywhere if you flat out ignore them as both McCain and Romney did. Theres a ton of young people who are very open to a co servative message, but so far all they have been hearing from is Democrats and the Democrat Lite RINOs.

Someone who talks about true limited government, freedom and liberty would be quite welcome.

So which conservative core conviction of mine do I need to “put aside” to attract the brain dead vote?

Yeah, right. If you say so. Must be a new age Christian. Christians I know don’t go for the anything goes b/s. And Christians do believe in defending life, marriage, family, borders, country to the hilt!!

Rand Paul has stated very publicly and on the record that he thinks it would be a "tragedy" (his very, unaltered words) if obama were in jail. There's a good reason why the Patriot who built this site has written the following on numerous occasions:

FURP!

True Conservatives rally to that battle cry to fight this enabler of open borders and sodomy.

Mike Spence, president of the Conservative Republicans of California, said, “This is a place that Kashkari doesn’t understand.”

http://www.sacbee.com/2014/03/16/6242395/republican-candidates-for-governor.html

After Kashkari told Latino Republicans he is making Spanish-language media a priority in his campaign, Donnelly told them “we have to stop pandering” to different segments of the electorate.

“In addition, Donnelly has raised only about $475,000, less than half what Kashkari has raised.”

Donnelly has probably raised enought to beat the RINO.

I’d rather have 12 Rohrabacher’s in the delegation than 15 RINOs.

You are a liberal because closing our borders to the criminals who flood across it every day, a group which includes serial rapists and child molestors is something you think it is okay to oppose.

Rape is not okay. Theft is not okay. Securing the border is a constitutional duty. Opposing securing the border is as far to the extreme left as one can get. It is a rejection of the concept of national sovereignty.

You personally are a Liberal with a big L. A few issues relating to you not wanting to pay taxes do not by any means make you conservative.

Look, pal. You don’t like what we stand for here you can post elsewhere. The Internet is a big place. We have a goal here and you seem to be fighting against it. If you’re not with us, you’re against us. You can move along if you don’t like it. I won’t try to stop you. And I won’t try to convince you. That’s not my job and not my goal. You’re a young pup and won’t learn until you’ve been burnt a few times. You can fight for the isolationist, free drugs, free sex, no borders, anything goes liberaltarian viewpoint to your hearts content. Elsewhere! bye

A few issues relating to you not wanting to pay taxes do not by any means make you conservative.

It's quite plausible that Sodom and Gommorah had a low tax rate. But, had that been the case, Almighty God's Righteous Wrath would not have spared those evil deviants.

Without the Godly principles of pro-life, pro-family and anti-sodomy, the lowest tax rate imaginable isn't sufficient to define true Conservatism.

Jim

for a second there I thought you were talking about the CA GOP apparatus and establishment.

The party in our state is a disgrace. Utter disgrace.

Poof! A leftist advocating for the darling of liberals, Rand Paul (the pro-amnesty, pro-dope, pro-sodomy) has seen the light thanks to the boss. Another one bites the dust. Alert the army and sound the clarion for the zotting of a wet-behind-the-ears yute.

I don’t believe in evolution.

At all.

However, REvolution is another matter ...

And, if that day ever comes, count me in. I am so there. We need a March on Washington that will storm the Capitol Building and serve notice on the Liberal, Anti-Christ, baby killing, Same-sex Marrying, Socialist scum of both Parties: “We’re taking out country back and you’d best not get in our way.”

Yes, I’m mad as hell.

Mr. Paul using Darwinesque language is a declaration of his enmity to conservatism and his preference for liberalism.

Well, hey; Rand dude endorsed Mitch McConnell. What does that tell you? I wouldn’t give him air if he was in a jug.
