Bill Maher appeared on Fusion’s America with Jorge Ramos this week, and at one point the host brought up the rumor he heard that Maher owns a gun. After confirming that it’s true, Maher said the difference between him and conservative gun owners in America is that he doesn’t “love” his gun, he just keeps it on hand in case of an emergency.
“Of course, I think the Republicans are insane about guns,” Maher told Ramos, “because they love guns, which is a sick position to have in the first place, to love something like a gun? I don’t love my gun, I have it the way I have, maybe, you know, antibiotics. It’s not something I love, it’s something in case of an emergency that I might have to use.”
What he would “love,” Maher said would be for the Democratic Party to challenge the right on guns and go “directly after” the Second Amendment. “One party loves guns and one party likes guns a lot,” he added. “It’s ridiculous.”
Maher also said he doesn’t think his views on religion will be changing at all as he gets older, saying, “I would hate to be the kind of coward who, on his death bed all of a sudden said, “Oh gosh, yes, suddenly I believe in ghosts.”

Well, Bill, I love anti-biotics. They saved my life more than once - sort of why I love guns.
The problem with the liberal left is that firearms - in their twisted minds - represent the apogee of white Christian male dominance in the world.
I have two personal accounts how my gun saved lives. Both times involved thugs taking an acute interest in me. Both times said thugs we’re spared their lives by me simply brandishing as they retreated. (now, who they went on to harass or otherwise harm is not for me to say).
My stories are but a couple in millions (probably annually). If more and more citizens started to carry, we would have less and less thugs and lawlessness. BUT, that doesn’t bode well for the left’s narrative and their lust for control of the law abiding citizen.
I always like to ask gun-grabbers what is being done to get the criminal dis-armed. Why do they always go after the people not breaking any laws. Why are they cuddling up to criminals all the time by trying to deny legal citizens the right to defend themselves? I do so because I take great joy in witnessing mental gymnastics for the logically challenged. It is a fun sport but ultimately with no real results.
So...he has “a” gun for a just-in-case, but wants the Democrat Party to eliminate the Second Amendment so they will take it away.
Or does he think he’ll be able to keep the gun because he’s special?
Or is he seriously twisted?

While I defend the “right to bear arms”, I was never a gun nut. When I bought a farm in west Tennessee, I also bought a 22 rifle to shoot varmints. I did have to use it once when a mad dog killed a few cats. Later, A neighbor insisted that I keep a 380 hand gun that he gave to me. It stayed on a closest shelf for some years before I gave it back to him.
I can not imagine a life where I feel the necessity to be armed, as in the old wild west.

I confess, I am quite fond of my guns. A morning shooting skeet is a good start to any day I have free time. My SKB over & under 12 gage shoots better than my aged eyes and body allow it. A late afternoon with my Browning Citori XT Trap doing two rounds is a pleasure. Summer bullseye pistol league is a weekly dance with my S&W 41 .22.
I care for my guns with frequent applications of patches soaked with Break-Free CLP.

Liberals are insane and sick because they love Bill Maher.
Guns are catastrophic insurance policies - better to have them and not need them than vice versa.

How he was allowed to have a gun is a mystery though. Pretty sure he has a felony conviction.

This is another Alinsky tactic to demonize Republicans. I would bet Maher sleeps with his gun under his pillow. If Maher is not loving his gun, he is at least paranoid without it.
Being called insane by Bill Maher is the same as a clean bill of mental health. Thanks, Bill!
