While I defend the “right to bear arms”, I was never a gun nut. When I bought a farm in west Tennessee, I also bought a 22 rifle to shoot varmints. I did have to use it once when a mad dog killed a few cats. Later, A neighbor insisted that I keep a 380 hand gun that he gave to me. It stayed on a closest shelf for some years before I gave it back to him.
I can not imagine a life where I feel the necessity to be armed, as in the old wild west.

Trust the tin-badge boys to protect you, eh? They have no duty to protect any individual.

Even if you don't "feel the necessity", leave those who do "feel the necessity" alone, please? Thanks.

“I can not imagine a life where I feel the necessity to be armed, as in the old wild west.”

As long as you don’t “feel” that I should likewise be disarmed, we’re good.
