Healthcare.gov, the troubled website set up to help Americans choose and enroll in a health care policy, crashed early Monday morning, on the final day to begin the process to apply for health insurance.
According to a CNBC story, the website crashed around 3:20 a.m. (ET) Monday. It was still down as of 7:40 a.m.
Monday is the deadline to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act -- commonly called Obamacare -- before facing a fine.
According to the White House, more than 6 million people have signed up since the enrollment period began on Oct. 1.
According to a statement from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: "HealthCare.gov marketplace application and enrollment system is currently unavailable. The tech team is working now to bring the system online as soon as possible."

"He generally believes that systemization, centralization, and data collection are good things for kids".
oops, wrong thread...
the local news reports on obamacare was like PR for the regime. Turned the channel after hearing the sheeple accept govt ordering them to buy a product or face the tax.
And yet, Yahoo is telling me how on track they are to be making goal by deadline.
Liars!
Waiting for the White House numbers which will show 330 Million people signed up for obamacare.
It doesn’t matter: The real question is how many signed up and did not receive at least a 50% subsidy.
Blue Cross Blue Shield in at least some states did have a page where you could get a pretty good estimate of the subsidy you’d receive, given some general family info. (basically, the number, ages, sex, and yes/no on tobacco use, IIRC) of family members. I ran several “examples”: The Premiums for even lousy coverage are unbelievably high - I don’t know how any average family could possibly afford them, but then one can get typically a > 70% subsidy, and now they’ve “gotcha”.
The subsidy money is going to come from where...? (Rhetorical question.)
Agreed. It was likely orchestrated to keep the extensions going. Everything is orchestrated in todays world of propaganda and media manipulation.
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) On the deadline to sign up for health coverage through Covered California, some hearing-impaired residents were sent to a chat line offering hot ladies instead of an insurance navigator.
With the deadline looming, an Auburn man scrambled to sign up for Covered California.
A page on the site where users can calculate the cost of coverage lists an incorrect phone number as 1-888-899-4500. The number, which was correct on the Contact Us page, is similar, but just one digit off: 1-888-889-4500.
So what does the incorrect number go to? This is what greets callers instead of health insurance advice:
Welcome to Americas hottest talk line. Ladies, to talk to interesting and exciting guys free, press one now. Guys, hot ladies are waiting to talk to you. Press two to connect free now, the recording says. [snip]
Heh. Wonder if this is only with the platinum+ plan?
It’s a team thing...the “team”, being all members of the MSM, have declared victory today...

Exactly right.
The Bait and Switch of YouCanKeepItGate
Visualize whirled peasy.
The administration is trumpeting the late surge in sign-ups to 6 million for Obamacare. It seems generous to allow that based upon families of four, that 24 million people may now be covered. Since the population of this country is an estimated 325 million and 325 is a multiple of 25, let’s allow that 25 million people are covered.
That would mean that, after all of the expenses in launching the program (and don’t forget the advertising), 7.69% of the American population have come to be insured! They call it success.
Someone should total this entire travesty. Maybe we should have just given those people the money!
Is Val Syrian or Iranian? I keep forgetting cuz they are so many ROPs in this white house.
