UN Science Report: Warming Worsens Security Woes,Global Instability(Is it April 1, Already?)
AP ^ | March 30, 2014 | SETH BORENSTEIN AP Science Writer

In an authoritative report due out Monday a United Nations climate panel for the first time is connecting hotter global temperatures to hotter global tempers. Top scientists are saying that climate change will complicate and worsen existing global security problems, such as civil wars, strife between nations and refugees.

They're not saying it will cause violence, but will be an added factor making things even more dangerous. Fights over resources, like water and energy, hunger and extreme weather will all go into the mix to destabilize the world a bit more, says the report by the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The summary of the report is being finalized this weekend by the panel in Yokohama.

I had my doubts about this report that global warming is causing serious global political instability but my mood and attitude took a very grim, sobering reassessment when the report was deemed "authoritative".

Authoritative, you say? OMG! This IS serious.

I don't know which is the bigger joke. The UN Science Report that global warming worsens global security problems or that the author Seth Borenstein calls himself a Science Writer [sic].

So, an unseasonably warm winter may have the potential to spark WW3 one day?

Can’t have it both ways; they’re also saying it will lead to human extinction.

The Obama administration is the problem with global instability. It’s called a vacuum.

But the are "Authoritative"! Read what they said:

"the report by the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change"

By God man, Nobel Peace Prize! And we know how much credibility they have!

If a broad enough war could be initiated, it could lead to human extinction.

But any war in which that much destruction is unleashed, probably would wipe out the cockroaches also, and isn’t the whole aim of the environmentalists, to preserve the habitat of earth for the perpetual occupancy by cockroaches?

Certainly isn’t to make earth hospitable to humanity.

Earth is WAY overdue to have an asteroid the size of Texas slam into the Indian Ocean (then we’ll NEVER find out what happened to Malaysian Flight 370).

Apparently, "climate change" has already hit the Middle East.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

They are partially right. We know from history that climate always changes and it will get significantly cooler or warmer that the average over the last 50 years. Since governments are already suppressing the economies through excessive taxation and regulations then any significant major change will not be pretty and there will be increased unrest.

The UN and many governments are focusing on the wrong problem. It is not CO2. They will waste precious resources fighting the wrong problem. They should do get out of the way and let economies prosper at maximum efficiency so when we do enter an ice age or hit serious warming there are resources available to deal with it.

the Nobel Peace Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. This phrase means nothing because the nobel prize is written on used toilet tissue much like the one given to a fraudulent man who hadnt done a dam thing and still hasnt

When an article about a UN report begins with “In an authoritative report”, you know you’re going to get massive spin and no honest analysis. That’s where I stopped reading.

the sky is falling again...

more seriously, they intimate that there won’t be enough resources for humanity.

. Fights over resources, like water and energy, hunger and extreme weather will all go into the mix to destabilize the world a bit more,

so, you know the remedy: abortion and Population control...
