Teacher tells police 3 men cursed him in Arabic before the assualt; French vigilant group against anti-Semitsm reports incident.
A Jewish teacher from Paris told police that three men had assaulted and cursed him in Arabic before drawing a swastika on his chest.
The attack occurred on Thursday night, according to a report by the Drancy-based Bureau for National Vigilance Against Anti-Semitism, a watchdog group known as BNVCA.
They pressed him to the wall and hit his face, around the eyes and on his chest, the report said. The blows broke his nose and deformed it, according to the report.
One of the perpetrators opened the victims shirt and with a black marker drew a swastika on the mans bare chest, BNVCA president Sammy Ghozlan wrote in the BNVCA report.
The victim, who was wearing a kippah at the time of the attack, was identified as K. Richard. He was treated for a broken nose and lacerations on his face on Thursday night.
He told police that the three men whoa attacked him appeared to be of North African descent and were in their twenties. They cornered him as he was exiting a kosher restaurant on Manin Street in Paris 19th arrondissement, near the Gare du Nord train station.
The shouted death to the Jews and called him dirty Jew in French and also shouted insults in Arabic which Richard did not understand, the BNVCA report said.
Richards cries for help drew the attention of a passerby. The perpetrators fled as he approached, the report read.
BNVCA has recorded a spate of anti-Semitic incidents in France in recent weeks.
The SPCJ security unit of French Jewish communities recorded 423 anti-Semitic incidents in 2013 a 31-percent drop from the 614 incidents recorded in 2012.
But the number of incidents reported last year is still eight percent higher than in 2011, Roger Cukierman, president of the CRIF umbrella group of French Jewish communities, said earlier this month during an interview for BMFTV.
So we are talking about a decrease, but on the contrary, there is growth. Behind the figures there is a difficult climate, he said.

There are reasons Jews are warned not to wear kipas, or any outward identification in Europe. And reasons not to comply. France should be proud. And please don't suggest France doesn't view their Arab citizens as French. They're citizens, and it's irrelevant. They're doing nothing non Arab French didn't do within the lifetimes of some of those French Jews. Which is probably why recent polls show 75% are considering leaving.
When bullying is on par with a biased attack this is just some kids playing around, right? Your government has passed legislation that prevents you from protecting yourself espcially against minorities they know this but you refuse to see it, hope you have a lot of bandaids
This isn’t new. The French have always been anti-semitic.
Even before the muslim immigration France had a large amount of anti-semitism.
all with the blessing of Dear Leader
If that ever started here, There will be a lot of Christians who will stand by our Jewish Brothers. I will be one of them.
These are Arabs living in France, not Frenchmen.

These aren't the "Vichy" French....these are Muslims.
The difference between the media in the US and this outlet is the US media would’ve left all descriptions of the perps out and just let the readers assume the assailants were skinheads.
“in Arabic “
I wonder who that can be! Must have been Swedish nuns on vacation. Couldn’t have been bearded savages from middle eastern hell holes.
Yes, American Christians aren’t European Christians. If they were, or their ancestors were, they’d still be European Christians. Sometimes reading articles like this it’s worthwhile to remember why we live here, not there. In most cases decisions of our forebearers, but correct decisions.
Presuming they're citizens, no difference. Particularly from the perspective of the victim. As I noted before, a majority of French Jews are considering emigrating. As high as 75% in some polls. Wonder what the Sunday people will do then, they'll be the target of the Friday people.

I already did. And I think you’re wrong. Yes, anti-semiticism has existed in France for centuries. But after WWII there was much less of it than before or during the war - until the arrival of the Arabs.

And how many physical attacks on Jews were there in France in the 1960s or 70s? How many launched by ethnic French? Quite frankly were there any at all? Perhaps a few, but the violence is a recent thing - a recent thing dependent entirely on the presence of Arab Muslims.

Muslims don’t see themselves as “Citizens” of anything, To them France is just a host, even if technically they are “Citizens”.
I don’t disagree. Anti-Semitism was a European National Pastime. In the early years of the Nazi regime, their anti-semitic policies weren’t all that out of line with other European nations.
But today, the vast majority of anti-semitic attacks in France are instigated by Muslims.
I would say probably so but have you heard the outrage from the French over it? You won’t either.
Probably more Muslim bastards at work
