These aren't the "Vichy" French....these are Muslims. Presuming they're citizens, no difference. Particularly from the perspective of the victim. As I noted before, a majority of French Jews are considering emigrating. As high as 75% in some polls. Wonder what the Sunday people will do then, they'll be the target of the Friday people.

Muslims don’t see themselves as “Citizens” of anything, To them France is just a host, even if technically they are “Citizens”.
