Well it appears the Department of Energy, which has long lobbied for more clean energy, is now finding that this clean energy is a lot more expensive than they thought it would be. The Obama administration’s plan to fight global warming was to limit carbon dioxide from new power plants. So in order for new coal plants to be built, they would need to spend a lot of money on carbon capture and storage technology.
I guess the EPA then forgot to think about the next logical step. If the power plants have to spend more money on this technology, they are going to have to pay for it somehow; hence the higher prices for consumers.
The deputy assistant secretary for clean coal at the Department of Energy told House lawmakers that this new technology will cause wholesale electricity prices to rise by 70 or 80 percent.

Obama and the EPA Czars knew this would happen all along. Decimating pur economy was always first and foremost on their minds.
Because you’re not already paying too much for gasoline and healthcare, Obama sees fit to double your electric bills.

Use a tax incentive to create a demand for replacing regular light bulbs with CFL Bulbs.
1. people wold get same lumens with 40% less electricity use and their power bills will go down.
2, Reducue electricity usage for lighting and you can shut all coal fired plants!!!
3. Convert the coal plants so that they can convert coal to gas, diesel fusl, aviation gas and natural Gas and you have created "GREEN ENERGY"
Voila more energy and its GREEN
LOL! Yeah, but the “green” is flowing out of my pockets faster and faster.
Part of leftist elitism is pushing the “climbers” back down the ladder.
It’s not enough to achieve wealth and power, they have to push others down to increase the “difference” between their lifestyles and ours.
This is less about increasing prices as it is about making energy, and therefore comfortable lifestyles, unaffordable for the masses.
And it DEFINITELY has very little to do with “the environment”.
What will be the economics of nat gas fired home generated power?
THE UNITED STATES IS NOT COMPETITIVE ON THE WORLD STAGE.
Since we are not competitive we will not have jobs.
It is as simple as that.
No company or country can afford fluff and stuff and remain competitive. Wasteful and non-essential feel good spending is the foundation for failure and bankruptcy.
That is what is happening here.
Can’t wait for Uncle Sam to gives us our smallpox blankets.
